Continue readingToday, I’m linking up with some of my favorite blogs to share a look inside Easter at our house. WOW, this post – so so fun to do, but also had me crying A TON. I was browsing my pictures looking through old videos and pictures to show you some examples of some traditions we have carried over from our families and sheesh did it bring on the waterworks.
Easter is my FAVORITE – not only the significance of this Holy Day – but I also love all the colors associated with this holiday and its’ season. Once we celebrate Easter, I start itching to get in the flower beds outside, wishing for warm weather to stay and start looking forward to many days spent outside!
Now, here’s a look at how we do Easter at our house! It is going to be sad that Easter will be celebrated a little different this year, but we will try to make the most of it…
moreOne of the things I look forward to all year is putting together my kid’s Easter baskets! Just like Christmas, it is so fun to watch pure joy and happiness happen right in front of us.
This year though, circumstances are a bit different. I was lucky enough to HAVE to run in to Target to pick up baby wipes that I could not place for order pickup and quickly went through the toy/Easter section to grab some of the staple items I am always putting in their baskets.
I figured I would share some of the items I put in my kid’s baskets this year! It is nothing earth shattering given the fact I couldn’t browse through the store for things – which is one of my favorite things to do every spring!

Spring is here! Yay, I love the colors of spring decor. So refreshing and bright, that alone just puts me in the best mood! I LOVE seeing how other people decorate their houses every season and figured I would share some things spring things I place around our house!
I know I’ve mentioned this in other posts, I like to decorate around my staple decor pieces – adding seasonal touches here and there. As my decoration inventory grows year after year, I’m sure it may be a different story, but for now, this is how I decorate our house.
Continue readingI don’t know about you, but lunches and dinners have just been different around here lately. First off, the convenience of heading out to the grocery store whenever and wherever you want is no longer – therefore you are forced to map out your meals or “work with” what you have.
Second, is it me, or are the kids eating/snacking more than normal?! I think I have been more aware as I am “rationing” them given the circumstances – another factor, adding another adult to our lunch crew, that can chew up some of the goods too!
Anyway, I figured I would share a look into our dinners for the past two weeks to give you some ideas and/or provide some help during these not so normal times. If you are able to have groceries delivered or can do curbside pick up- I am hoping this can give you a sense of what you will need to have on hand (at least a broad overview!).
Continue readingThis post has been a long time coming. We finally got my son’s bedroom “pretty much” completed. I say that because I am still searching for the perfect nightstand and table lamp. I do like exploring garage sales and flea market sales for those items, but given the uncertainty of the virus – I’m not sure how much garage-saling I will be doing this year. Nevertheless, I wanted to show you how his “industrial style airplane” room came together!
Read moreGood morning everyone – happy Monday! I haven’t done one of these posts in a while, but I figured, why not! To me, I want this blog to be a place where I can personally look back and see how things were around here!
So this weekend was pretty low key, given our circumstances at this time being quarantined – it did push me to start the potty training process for my 2.5 month old son…
Continue readingI’ve been so excited to get this bathroom finished up so I could share it with you! While I would normally make a trip to HomeGoods/TJ Maxx to find some finishing decor touches, I used what I had to make due.
Continue readingToday, I’m doing another fun link up with Mix and Match Mama and Sheaffer Told Me To where we recap the month with a little this and that! I love these kind of posts – they also make me happy because someday, I can look back at these and they almost serve as a little journal excerpt showing a glimpse of our lives lately!
Is it me, or has March FLOWN – even with all this quarantining (is that a word?), which makes it feel like the days go on F O R E V E R – the month has flown.
Continue readingWelp, this quarantine has been something else! My husband and I were just chatting recently at how crazy it is that most people are now working at home and having to juggle that and their children.
Since not a whole lot has changed around here on my end (besides trying to keep the kids quiet during my husband’s conference calls upstairs) I figured I would share some activities/toys we have been playing to keep busy while we are forced in the house during this time.
moreThis week has definitely FLOWN given the circumstances in my opinion. We have been doing good keeping the norm around here, but it’s also hard not to think about how long these troubling times will last!
We are trying to stay positive, but the one thing we are all really bummed about is cancelling our vacation. We were SO looking forward to some sun, warmth and making memories with the kids and it is always surreal to me that we will most likely have to wait ONE WHOLE YEAR for this trip. The kids will be ONE YEAR OLDER and that is sad for me to think about.
Okay, enough of the sob story, I would like to get on here and share some positive things that have been happening! I’m sorry for the poor posting this week, like I said, the week completely slipped away from me and I was not prepared at all!

This week I wanted to share some ways I save when it comes to all things baby.
First off, taking three kiddos out and about particularly during this phase in life is quite an endeavor. I used to do it with two a lot more often and now I am opting for online shopping since we live in a world of 1-2 day shipping! I purchase my baby products via Target because I think I end up saving more the way I do it (I had an excel sheet breaking down costs including the gift cards I would receive, ha!)and I really love their Up&Up brand.
Today I wanted to share the cycle I follow in terms of baby supplies, baby food, and diapering.
The past two weekends we had some brunch/breakfast get togethers. We finally got together with my best friend and her family to exchange Christmas gifts (that took wayyy to long) and we celebrated my sister-in-laws birthday at my parents.
Breakfast and brunch dates just seem to work well with everyone during this stage in life. The kids are in a better mood, we are up and coming back from church at that time, the kids are able to nap right after the festivities and on a Sunday – a dinner get together would be tough.
Continue readingI’m a big fan of traditional stuffed peppers (ground beef, rice, onions, tomato soup, salt and peppers) – which are so bland in my husband’s opinion! I bought a big bag of bell peppers from Costco last week and I thought – stuffed peppers on the brain for dinner.
Problem is, they couldn’t be plain old boring stuffed peppers…I had to spice these up a bit for my husband to even give it a chance! Mexican Stuffed Peppers for the win!!
Continue readingI’ve had the chance to connect with so many sweet people through social media who either deal with ONH themselves or have a child or loved one who was diagnosed with it. Knowledge is power and I know I like to hear about others’ experiences – whether it relates to things they have heard from their doctors, patch time successes/failures with their kids, procedures and therapies that need to be done or how they manage their day-to-day – I truly find it uplifting and valuable information.
I know I have mentioned this previously, my daughter was diagnosed with a unilateral and an isolated case of ONH. By no means am I a medical professional, this post is strictly to share how we we’re advised and the diagnosis we received. I will also share some more details regarding the other specialists she was referred to and what was needed to be done in future posts.
moreI can’t believe March is here on Sunday! Decided to get a jump start on updating my coffee tray to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day. This was super easy to update – VERY INEXPENSIVE and just the right amount of festive!
Continue readingBreakfast is honestly my favorite meal of the day. I do not discriminate and honestly love ALL breakfast foods. While I can get caught up with sugary, carb heavy breakfast foods during the week – I like to toss this heart healthy breakfast into the mix. So many people are hit or miss when it comes to loving oatmeal, but if you doctor it up correctly, it’s GOOD (swear)! This breakfast is super easy and the flavors are just so YUM!
