What’s Up Wednesday [04.29.20]

Today, I’m doing another fun link up with Mix and Match Mama and Sheaffer Told Me To where we recap the month with a little this and that! I love these kind of posts – they also make me happy because someday, I can look back at these little “journal” excerpts showing a glimpse of our lives lately!

What We’re Eating This Week…

Chicken Parmesan

Breakfast for Dinner

Roasted Vegetable Pasta

Steak // Asparagus // Baked potato

What I’m Reminiscing About

Running errands

I miss rollin’ into stores juggling three kids. They actually love going to the store!

Preschool pick up

Ugh, I miss her running out the school door into my arms for a BIG hug! 🙁

Going to parks and playgrounds

What I’m Loving…

My quarantine crew <3

Being outside and moving A LOT more

My sister-in-laws artwork!

These amazing graphics can be purchased as stickers or be printed on a whole ton of products through the Redbubble site.

FLOWERS!

I put this basket of spring flowers together and added literally anything I could find to make it look snazzy!

I found this basket at Goodwill a while back.

Pictured: Daffodils, Hyacinths, Ivy (from a spot in front of our garage), boxwood trimmings, moss and old Black-eyed Susan stems (they looked neat!)

…and that all my perennials planted last year (56 to be exact) have survived the winter and are making their return!

What We’ve Been Up To…

You can read all about a Day in the Life of Us around here.

PLANTING

BAKING

Chocolaty Mocha Chocolate Chip cookies!

FAMILY WALKS – EVERY DAY!

BLUE’S CLUES

Don’t judge my paw prints…

This was soo fun! Can you figure out Blue’s Clue’s?!

What I’m Dreading…

How things will change after we come out of this…I’m wondering when we will attend Church again or if any concerts, festivals or town events will be happening. Will amusement parks, zoos, parks be open? And how different will things be…

Wisdom tooth removal …ugh

Also, actually putting away the 5 baskets of clean laundry scattered around the house.

What I’m Working On…

SEEDLINGS, DAHLIA BULBS AND TRANSPLANTING POTTED FLOWERS

I got some spring flowers at Aldi and I’m going to attempt to transplant them into my garden.

Planted some Zinnia seedlings and a handful of Dahlia bulbs as a test to get a jump start on things.

Stay tuned for more details on this…

ORGANIZING PHONE & CAMERA VIDEOS/PICTURES (Chronological order)

Printed photos…you are next.

Hanging a retractable clothes line

Still trying to nail the details down for this project.

What I’m Excited About…

Opening the pool

Sitting out here in the mornings

Summer clothes (so long coats, boots and hats…)

I’m tired of the layers and need a tan!

Iced coffee

Excited to make the switch from hot coffee to iced…anyone else do a seasonal swap out, too?!

What I’m Watching/Reading…

JACK RYAN

Okay, this show was SO good! My husband and I absolutely loved the first season. Such an easy show to get sucked in to and binge.

John Krasinski stars as Jack Ryan, a former Marine now serving as an Analyst for the CIA. Basically he is thrown into a field assignment trying to uncover terror communications rather than handling them behind his desk. Super intense and suspenseful show – 5 stars!

Season two had a slow start, but as I’ve mentioned in my Day in the Life post, we stayed up until 2 a.m. watching the final 4 episodes. We HAD to know what was going to happen. Jack Ryan is reassigned to a different country after discovering shipments of illegal weapons…I don’t want to spoil to much – go binge it!

They are coming out with a third season, which I am pumped about!

YEP….you better believe it…still WIP (work in progress.)

THE PERFECT WIFE

My summary continues to be the same as I move through this book slowly…..

The book started out a little slow…The wife of an AI engineer dies unexpectedly and the husband brings her back to life as a robot. He told her she died in an accident, but she is starting to feel that might not be the case as certain memories and new details are revealed.

What I’m Listening To…

Made myself a super chill Spotify playlist. I titled it “Ripple Effect” such a stretch on the reasoning behind this… but, basically all the songs gave me the feel of doing a full body roll haha! The beats of every song have give this vibe in order to make playlist cut…

What I’m Wearing…

Seriously, absolutely nothing but lounge wear, I have nothing here to show…

OK, I lied there was this one time…

We had someone come to the house to have us sign off on some important paperwork… I love this sweater – perfect for both Fall and Spring in my opinion!

You will also find me ALL over the yard in these rain boots. They are SO comfortable and I love the quilted style!

Also, pictured here are thee comfiest sweatpants EVER from my friend’s gym – Ohio Sports and Fitness! They have such quality workout clothing and I’m happy I ordered these!

What I’m Doing This Weekend…

The weather this weekend is supposed to be beautiful, so I’m assuming we will spend every second of the day outdoors!

You know I will get out there and start planting some bulbs – I am going to start with a couple Gladiolus bulbs, then do some seeds. My Dahlia tubers need more heat, so I need to be patient with those!

We are also thinking of having a fire with my side of the family. The nieces and nephews will be SO PUMPED to play again!

What I’m Looking Forward To Next Month…

Returning to “normal”. A fresh start and more energy and love towards mundane things we didn’t appreciate as much once before.

Also garage sale season…but unsure if people will even have them?!

What Else is New??

We covered a lot today…I think that’s it! Thanks for reading along!

I’m super jealous that you have a green thumb! I’m miserable at it and I’m so envious of those who can create entire gardens!! Have fun putting it all together ❤️

First of all, I love the colourful sweater. It’s so fun!

Also, I noticed that basket of flowers in your second picture and thought, “Those are so pretty!” Then I found out you arranged them yourself and I’m even more impressed. I’ve been filling my house with tulip bouquets since January and during quarantine I usually have about three on the go. Ooops. Flowers make me happy too!

And I currently have three baskets of laundry to fold while the kids are working on school work this morning. Solidarity in the never ending laundry pile!

Thanks Natasha! Oh, tulip arrangements are my favorite and I’m sure those fresh flowers make your day a little brighter! Waiting for a robot to be invented that will handle all the laundry, ha!
