A Day in the Life – Stay Home Order Edition

“Just another manic Monday!” You know what makes me chuckle…is the fact that I should not be feeling this way towards Monday. We are at home. There is nowhere to go or be. Yet, I still find myself getting that Monday feeling still.

Anyway, Happy Monday – I thought today would be they perfect day to share a Day in the Life post! Last week I decided to take pictures throughout the day to show you how we go about our days around here. I LOVE when other people do these posts and so I figured I would do the same and share our Day in the Life – quarantine edition that is…

Alarm went off at 5:30 a.m. – proceeded to sleep until 7:05 a.m. – Little T woke me…

My husband and I binged the final 4 episodes of Jack Ryan until 2 a.m. We could not stop…at all – we needed to know how it would end! That caused a very rough morning to say the very least.

Little man got his first meal of the day – he’s ALWAYS a happy camper!

Thing 1 then ventured down about 20 minutes later ready for a waffle.

I had just finished getting my toast and he helped me get my coffee started. It is one of his favorites things to do in the kitchen.

Got out everything I needed for my coffee. A scoop of collagen and some hazelnut creamer (yum!). Anyone team “would you like some coffee with your creamer?”

Popped it in my Yeti so it stays warm all morning and I can take my time drinking it!

I went to sit and eat and noticed little man has blown toe holes out of yet another onesie. This has been a big problem. He has ripped through three other onesies and a couple socks…time for a bigger size?!

Thing 2 strolled down a little before 8

After breakfast, we moved to the playroom where I sat and read my devotional and also wrote down my thoughts and prayers for the day in my journal.

Whenever the garbage truck comes by, they always stop what they are doing to watch…

Next my husband emerged from our bedroom office and we just had a little family morning chat

This little miss got her patch on to knock out her two and a half hour goal

9:10 a.m.

The two big kiddos played upstairs while I decided to make myself look presentable for the day.

Barrel wave for the win to give volume and structure to my 3 day unwashed hair…

9:30 a.m.

Nap time for little man

Audrey and JP decided to play in the basement for a little bit until the weather warmed up and we could then go outside.

Another brisk day…why am I wearing a winter hat at the end of April?!

10:30 a.m.

My little helpers assisted me in taking the recycle bags to the curb!

Naturally I did a quick scan of the front garden bed on the way back

Went on the swing, did some chalk, rode our scooters

11:15 a.m.

Little man was awake, so we moved back into the house to prepare for lunch!

To kill some time, I had the kids stir up some brownie batter – Audrey’s patch came off during this time, yay! She did it!

And I pulled out chicken to thaw for dinner: grilled chicken breasts

11:55 a.m. Ready for lunch!

My lunch was random…leftover BBQ pulled pork on a backed potato topped with cheese?

After lunch, we went for a family walk

We discovered this ginormous egg on our walk. Maybe a Hawk egg?

The kiddos went down in the basement to play again and I hung with this little dude who is rolling all over the place!

1:45 p.m. – Baby T nap time

Shortly after this guy went down…

It was his turn for nap – 2:20 p.m. – I will normally lay with him for about ten minutes and read him a couple books!

Back down to catch up with little miss who was watching some cartoons while I was getting people situated for their naps.

I let her relax while I turned on some music and tidied up a bit

That took me about a half hour then we started school a little later

The theme of the week was Earth Day…my printer obviously needs new ink.

These peeps both took two hour afternoon naps

We played around a little bit more then it was time to get dinner started…

My husband made his amazing grilled chicken seasoning and plopped those on the grill

Along with some roasted balsamic brussel sprouts and this 90 s rice from Costco (SO GOOD!)

Dinner is served! 5:30 p.m. We were starving by then – we normally like to eat around 6 p.m.

After dinner I cleaned up – everyone went to play and I decided to make myself a mint chocolate chip brownie sundae!

I was “hiding” from the kids who were playing nicely in the other room so I plopped down on the couch to watch this?

Call of Duty – husband is obsessed. I personally was getting so dizzy watching…

After I finished my sundae – I reemerged into the play room where this kid always enjoys trying to climb on my leg

Then we decided to FaceTime my Mom – anyone else make a goofy face for their parents before they jump on?!

We chatted – then played as a family then it was time for bed for little man

8:00 p.m.

He ate and went down super fast – he was pooped. He still sleeps in our room…He would probably do so much better in his room (he naps twice a day in his crib) it’s just I’m having a hard time moving him…it makes me sad, I don’t want him getting big!

Came back downstairs and watch 1.2 sec of the NFL Draft…

Then it was time for the kids to head to bed 9:15 p.m.

And I was in bed around 10 p.m…

And that is a Day in the Life around here! Have a great week!
