Friday Favorites – 04.24.20

Happy last Friday of April! How is next Friday, May 1st?! Hard for me to believe because it’s snowed like four times and I’ve been wearing a winter hat for the past week so, there’s that!

Today, I’m linking up and sharing some Friday Favorites with you all!

Link up with Andrea and Erika

Sister-in-Law’s Artwork on Redbubble

Okay, first off, how amazing are these graphics my sister-in-law drew?!

She is so extremely talented and I am having myself a fan girl moment here! Ever since Rachel was little she’s ALWAYS been so creative – from homemade cards, awesome paintings to creative gifting, homemade baby and wedding shower decorations and photography – she’s.just.got.it!

The site where these items are available for purchase is really neat

It allows artists to share their talents and for people to get some really neat, unique and customized products. They offer stickers, clothing, coffee mugs, journals, water bottles, canvas, even bath mats – you name it, they probably offer it!

These would be a great add to a bar/summery themed gift basket for Mother’s Day

How cute would this be to do some gardening in?!

Super awesome artwork right there!

Jack Ryan Series – Prime Video

This.series. It was SO good. I love shows that involve politics, military, suspense, action and some twisty turns in the plot. John Krasinski stars as Jack Ryan and it was actually pretty cool to see him take on a more serious role. We had several family members tell us we NEED to watch it, and I’m so happy we did!

They recently announced there will be a season 3 happening, which I’m super excited about because because I’m already missing the show and all the characters already – is that weird?

Not so fav though… my husband and I stayed up until 2 a.m. the other night watching the final four episodes of season two … the following day was extremely rough and dragged on forever to say the very least.

Prepping Garden Beds!

As you saw from my post earlier this week, I have been out prepping my cutting flower bed to make sure it is ready to go come the first couple weeks of May.

I have also been critiquing my layout from last year and will start filling in more details once I have all my tubers and seed packets ready to go!

With all this wonky weather we are having, I might get a jump start on some of the Zinnias in the seedling starter trays.

Barrel Waver

Okay, I love crimping my day two unwashed hair recently. I hit my hair with a little dry shampoo start crimping and bam – it gives instant body and a more “structured wave”. My hair is naturally curly and can look not so great when left unwashed – basically the curls just look like I rolled out of bed.

The crimper gives that blunt straight edge at the bottom, which I like, and more volume. My crimper linked here.

EXHIBIT A – looks cute under a winter hat…I’m wearing this hat in April? Smh

Obviously I’m not going to wear it plain crimped. I will probably end up styling my hair half up half down, in a low or high pony, top knot, low bun and even a poof up front. There are so many different things you can do with the volume it gives!

Okay, I lied I ended up wearing it down for the majority of the day, but it was fiiiiinnnnee.

Are you on board with the crimper trend?! I’m on board 100%.

Happy weekend!

I love crimped hair! It totally gives me volume and a different look! I have the old crimper model but will look into this barrel weaver. It looks like it may be easier than what I have. Btw, your sister in law is truly talented. Her art work looks so amazing and beautiful. I hope your day is going well so far and happy Friday!
