Hey, hey, hey and Happy Friday! This week, I decided to share some winter “updates”. Last week I shared a February Garden Update and a post about my recent appreciation for winter.

With the extra day in February yesterday, I thought it would be fun to incorporate some of my favorite winter things!

If you’re from the North, you know January and February (sometimes March) can drag in terms of winter. It’s the time when everyone starts to complain and wish for warmer weather. While I cannot even wait for Spring (18 days) and for the sun to set after 7 pm (9), I wanted to share my appreciation for winter before it’s over and we move on!

My Favorite Winter Things

Warm and cozy comfort foods

How the sun floods in our house just right

Automatic Car Start & heated steering wheel – a key to winter survival

Family game nights and movie nights

Lounge wear – my favorite fuzzy fleece hooded “coat”

Lamps instead of overhead lights

Layering!

A cozy warm home – we have baseboard heating and it is my ABSOLUTE favorite!

A time to slow down – we were just updating our summer calendar. I cannot believe how many things happen in the summer!

Favs from the week

Building tracks with Tommy

He loves to play at home and is the biggest home body, but I was able to get out with him to the park this week for some one on one time!

That smile. Such a precious age.

Another fav was tackling a couple decluttering projects!

For my birthday, my Mom bought me some storage bins for my laundry room – I’ve spent the last month trying to figure out what to put where and finally did it!

I also FINALLY tackled a deep clean of our fridge! I put it off for too long!

Another fav was this guy’s wacky Wednesday outfit… ha!

This spot in the house is always my favorite. Every time I enter her room, I love how cozy, warm and inviting it is!

Last but not least! We finally picked out a little loveseat for our family room. We have spent some time re-configuring and redesigning this space, I can’t wait to share it soon!
