Friday Top 5 – 04.17.20

Is it me or are these weeks flying? I catch myself feeling like I just took out the trash two days ago and now it needs to go back out again for collection…FLYING. Happy Friday to you, here are someone my top 5 favs this week.

Today, I’m linking up and sharing some Friday Favorites with you all!

Linking up with Andrea and Erika

Fresh flowers

Okay, so if you couldn’t tell already, I’m OBSESSED with flowers! I ran into Aldi this week to see if they had any Easter flowers left – they did and they rang up $.99 a piece!! I gave these to my mom and mother-in-law as an Easter gift!

Those white tulips in the middle are actually fake. They are gorgeous and look so real! Linked in the picture below:

Gorgeous, right? I’m going to see if I can transplant them into my garden after they bloom!

I’ve been dying to get back out into the garden, but woke up to this yesterday….

3 inches of snow…sigh – but a gorgeous sunrise 🙂

Cleaning Schedule = Sanity Saver

I fell off track in the house maintenance department and have been playing catch-up. The nice thing about this cleaning checklist is you can pick up a couple tasks you didn’t get too on the weekend or just leave it unchecked and get to it when you can! I’m the type of person that needs overwhelming “big jobs” to be broken down into tiny tasks.

You can download the checklist here.

Purse Essentials

You can check out my link up post from this week here. But, here is a summary of my two GO-TO’s

This week I wasn’t planning on linking up to talk about “the inside of my purse“, but I decided to because there are a handful of things that have helped me tremendously!

Keychain Wristlet

This keychain is a lifesaver because we all know you need ALL hands on deck when it comes to having toddlers and running errands. You simply get out of the car, slide the wristlet on your wrist of arm and VOILA, hands free to take kids in and out of their seats.

It comes in so many different colors I also have this marble one.

Cash Envelope and Grocery Notebook

Another thing I wanted to share, my cash envelope and grocery shopping technique!

This has been an amazing budgeting trick. I shared a lot more details in this post from last summer, but basically, we have saved hundreds of dollars on groceries every month since going this route.

Sausage Hash Bowl “dup”

When I went to my cousins bachelorette party in Denver a couple years ago, I had a brunch meal I would never forget! Since that time, I have duped it, and every time we make it – we are in Heaven!

Roasted sweet potatoes, potatoes, onion, red peppers and ground sausage – topped with an over easy egg.

Yoga morning routine

My husband has started joining me for yoga in the morning. I didn’t necessarily start in order to get a great workout in, I did it for tightness and tension relief in my upper back, shoulders and back.

Also, years ago, I heard you carry stress in your calves so we have been focusing on lower body and legs too. I am not lying – doing these stretches has given me more energy throughout the day. I attribute that to the increased blood flow, but also relieving the tension in my upper body has been so amazing and I find I am able to take on the day a little better!

These are my favorite videos!

Honestly, I feel like she has a video for everything. You can type in any pain points you feel in your body into the search bar on YouTube and something is bound to pop up to help you!

I would highly recommend doing yoga if you are feeling stressed, anxious or run down – especially from what has been happening recently!
