Tip Jar Tuesday: Easter Basket Ideas

One of the things I look forward to all year is putting together my kid’s Easter baskets! Just like Christmas, it is so fun to watch pure joy and happiness happen right in front of us.

This year though, circumstances are a bit different. I was lucky enough to HAVE to run in to Target to pick up baby wipes that I could not place for order pickup and quickly went through the toy/Easter section to grab some of the staple items I am always putting in their baskets.

I figured I would share some of the items I put in my kid’s baskets this year! It is nothing earth shattering given the fact I couldn’t browse through the store for things – which is one of my favorite things to do every spring!

Outdoor Items

I love getting anything and everything that can be used outdoors all spring and summer! Last year I got them bathing suits, puddle jumpers and some pool toys so they could use them in our pool – functional and fun!

Chalk

is always our fav and a must in their basket – we love all kinds and colors of chalk, but these colors are super fun!

Bug Kit

My kids will be so pumped for this – they love trying to catch bugs and all these tools will be perfect for them!

Bubble Guns

Not super reviews, but found these in the outdoor toy area at Target, my kids love bubbles, so we’ll see how these work out!

Wubble Ball

This ball is ALWAYS talked about every time they see the commercial. Again, not the best reviews, but we shall see! Fingers crossed it lasts more than 5 mins.

Seasonal Clothing

I like to get them seasonal/functional clothing for the upcoming warm weather months. First off, a must…

Summer Shoe or Rainboots

My kids already have rainboots and absolutely love them, so I figured I would give some shoes that can be cleaned easily. These are knock-off Natives and have awesome reviews! These won’t get here until Saturday…

Summer Jammies

Shorts, t-shirts, etc. Goodbye cold weather jammies…

Summer Outfits

Since I bought several things for a vacation we didn’t go on, I didn’t need much of anything for the kids’ baskets this year.

Purse

Okay, this little purse is adorable. My daughter will love having this!

Functional Items

I will also try to get the kids things they need and not just junk…

Water Bottles

Last year I got the kids their own CamelBak water bottles. They love them and it’s perfect for summer! So many options to choose from.

Coloring Books

These Mess Free books are the bomb, especially if you have a child that likes to go rogue when coloring…Of course, one for each kiddo with their favorite characters!

Stackable Crayons

Not only does my son love stacking things, but he will also love being able to color with his OWN crayons...

Lunch Bag

SOOOO LONG brown paper bag – Audrey is getting an upgrade now…

This has been a request for a while, finally just got to it and school is probably cancelled for the rest of the year…

Baby Basket

Easter Book/Sentimental Item

For my 7 month old son, I keep it super simple. I got him this book

And will write that it was his first Easter and date it inside the front cover.

Bunny Rattle

I found this rattle at Walmart online when I was purchasing some groceries for drive up. In the past when the other two big kiddos were babies, I would get a little bunny or chick stuffed animal.

Easter is one of my favorite Holidays and I do like to make it special for the kids. Putting together their Easter baskets has been such a joy for me over the years! Hope these ideas can help you if you find yourself struggling to put a basket together!
