Happy St. Patrick’s Day to you! Hope you are able to enjoy a beer and a corned beef sandwich, I know that’s what I plan on doing tonight! For today’s thrifty Thursday, I’m sharing (yet again!) how I shop for my kids clothing. I shared a toddler clothing capsule on Black Friday because that’s when I do a MAJOR winter clothing haul at Kohl’s. You can also check out last year’s spring clothing haul post. I absolutely love the Jumping Beans brand – it’s affordable, very basic and has ALL the essentials!

moreMotherhood Monday: Drugstore Beauty Products for Busy Mom on a Budget
I had this post scheduled for yesterday, and never got around to posting it. We were outside literally all weekend enjoying some beautiful weather and I put this post on the back burner. Normally I do my Amazon post today, but there are literally two things I would share (we’ve been doing a great job trying to eliminate useless spending).
Today I’m sharing a handful of my favorite beauty drugstore products that I feel are worth WAYYY more than what they cost! These products are something I use almost everyday and help keep a busy Mom looking somewhat sane!
Continue readingTip Jar: Home Cleaning Checklist
Happy Tuesday! Today I am re-sharing my cleaning checklist because I’ve been using it a lot recently and felt it would be helpful to share again! I do not have a cleaning lady – though at times I wish I could! I personally refuse to pay for that service right now as I know it is one of my jobs as a stay at home Mom. In an effort to keep up with things around the house and not get TOO overwhelmed, I put together a thorough home maintenance schedule based on combining multiple cleaning checklists.
One of the main goals my husband and I have been trying to accomplish (and we’ve been doing a great job keeping up with it) is making sure the kitchen is clean EVERY NIGHT. Another area we’ve tried to improve on – making an effort to not get too agitated if the kids play room, aka our living room, is an absolute disaster during the day. It will always look chaotic as long as the kiddos are little and playing so learning to accept that fact is something we’ve made an effort to ignore. As long as the play room/living room is picked up at the end of the day and the kitchen is cleaned, we’ve found the following day to start off better – it just sets the day off on the right foot!
I will share more on this topic later because I have a WHOLE blog post dedicated to some things I’ve been facing as a Mom and a woman (hello Aunt Flo) that have truly come to light over the past year.
moreWhat’s Trending?! Valentine Goodies

moreMotherhood Monday: 3 Tips for a smoother winter wake up routine
We’ve all experienced it – the coziness, the warmth, the darkness – the perfect sleeping conditions that can make it hard to wake up and leave our bed during the winter months!
If you have a child who is a freeze baby (*raises hand*) and not a morning person (*raises hand again*), you know what a challenge waking up for school can be. Today I’m sharing some of my tips and tricks on how I help wake the kiddos up for school during the winter months – which can be the toughest months of all!
Continue readingTip Jar: RECAP No Spend January Challenge
It’s February 1st, which means the NO SPEND JANUARY challenge is officially complete. Today I’m sharing a recap of the challenge – some of the successes and some of the failures/updates that need to be addressed. I might even extend this into February and March, which are two more months where there isn’t much going on and we should utilize this in order to save BIG TIME
I know I mentioned this before, but summer can get crazy and the budget is even more difficult to figure out. The kids are home, spending ticks up a little bit – i.e. grocery budget increase, pool maintenance, having family and friends over, cookouts, parties and going to parks, on little trips, etc! These winter months are the perfect time to try to save as much as we can to make up for a variable summer.
moreWinter Activity Ideas for kids – Part 1
Last year I shared a weekly post with winter activity ideas (I shared a lot of our personal favorites) and descriptions of each activity. This year I’m sharing those weekly graphics under one post. Winter can get boring around here especially if you’ve been trapped in the house due to snow storms and super cold weather! Sharing part one today. You can get the detailed post by searching “what to do with kids” then clicking on the appropriate week.

Tip Jar: No Spend January Challenge
It’s that time of year again! A time when we sit down and thoroughly review our budget and set financial goals for the year. I will share more on goals and something new I just started for budget tracking, possibly later this week or next (because it requires it’s own post). In the meantime, I wanted to share a challenge with you, one you can join too – NO SPEND JANUARY!
You heard that right – N O S P E N D J A N U A R Y. This will be hard, it will be so annoying, but honestly it’s the reset we need. We didn’t entirely accomplish our goals from last year. Some modifications were made, unexpected items popped up (as they always do) and we focused hard on investing – which has been amazing and sometimes I forget that’s where our savings is!
moreMotherhood Monday: 1,000 Hours Outside Challenge

moreWhat I Do Wednesday – Laundry Essentials
It’s What I’m doing Wednesday and today I’m sharing my laundry essentials. I feel very passionate about certain laundry items and figured I would share these things with you!
First off, let’s talk laundry routine. There is literally ALWAYS at least one load running through the washer everyday. I throw all the kids clothing together and use the same detergent (will share it below!) and then separate undies, socks and towels and throw those together in a load. Obviously adult clothes separate from that.
