Friday Favorites – 03.19.21

This week flew by and I felt like I couldn’t keep up! So many things to do before vacation, but we are all ready to go! I cannot wait for the beach! I won’t be blogging next week because I’m sure we will be busy taking orders from 7 little bodies on our trip! Sharing some favorites from the week!

March Coffee Stand Decor

There is something about swapping out the decorations on my coffee stand every month! It is fun to switch it up – and I find so much joy in enjoying what each month has to offer! As I’ve mentioned MANY times before, I have a bin that has accumulated all my coffee stand decor and most of the items have come from the Dollar Tree, Bullseye’s Playground or Walmart.

Friday Favorites – 03.05.21

This week had me CRAVING Spring! I’m so excited for this big change in season. Daylight Savings Time is just around the corner (gimme all the sunshine, please!), we find ourselves outside a little more, early bloomers are pushing through the soil – just so many amazing things! This week gave me a little taste of all those things!

Look For Less – Spring Home Decor 2021

Spring is ALMOST here and I could not be more excited about it! We spent most of the day outside yesterday even though it was nearly 50 degrees, but the sun was out and we were all about it!

I love the colors of spring decor. It’s so refreshing especially after the cold and colorless months of January and February! Spring is just such an exciting time around here – more daylight, sunshine, warmer weather and

I know I’ve mentioned this in other posts, but I like to decorate around my staple decor pieces – adding seasonal touches here and there. As my decoration inventory grows year after year, I’m sure it may be a different story, but for now, this is how I decorate our house.

Friday Five – 02.19.21

My goodness, what a week it has been. Praying for Texas and everyone affected. I could not imagine what people are going through. So instead of sharing Friday FAVORITES just sharing five things today.

I will start out by saying that the start of the Lenten season was this week and I’m looking forward to strengthening my faith and challenging myself to walk more like Christ – which can be hard to do. Lent is a time to take on those crosses and work to better ourselves for the ultimate goal in this life – eternal life.

Thursday Thoughts: Tension Headaches & “Text Neck”

First off, sending SO many prayers to people in the South and all over the country without power or heat. We too went without heat the past couple days and it just puts so many things in perspective. We are so blessed to have a roof over our head and warmth in our home. Saying many prayers for everyone affected or dealing with issues.

For my Thursday Thoughts, I would like to talk about something I have found myself dealing with and everyday “actions” are definitely worsening things!

Tip Jar: Toddler Routine for SAHM

Becoming a stay at home Mom excited me! While I was a little nervous about making the transition, I was also so ready to manage the household and grab hold to some sort of routine. I searched Pinterest all the time for sample schedules prior to leaving my marketing career and figured I would share our routine if you happen to be a working Mom making the leap to SAHM or just someone who likes to see how others do things (this is totally me, I’m so nosy!)

Today I wanted to share a sample of our routine around here – particularly for the boys – Tommy is nearly 18 months and JP is 3 years old. I followed this same exact schedule since JP was around 12 months and it still continues to work for him (with some modifications) and Tommy. I was recently chatting with a Mom and her son is almost 2. She was telling me his morning nap was rough and his naps (he was still doing two naps a day) felt really short. I suggested switching him to one nap a day as he was probably not tired at that time of the day anymore. She seemed hesitant because as a Mom, it is great to have some free time to get things done, but once I mentioned the afternoon naps were 3 hours, she couldn’t believe it!
