A Day in the Life – April 2021

Good morning and Happy Wednesday! Today I’m sharing a day in the life post – I know I say this all the time, but these are my favorite posts to read on other blogs! So come on over and follow along a random day around our home!

Slowly but surely trying to get back up early on a regular basis again, but we will get there!

Don’t judge the email! It’s all promotional emails that I need to go through and delete in mass…

This little lady randomly was up and came in our room – she told us about a bad dream, so I think that’s what woke her so early!

This morning I had my rescheduled dentist appointment so down to the shower I go. The weather was supposed to be in the high 70’s today – how nice is that?!

Stumbled across this mess when I got downstairs…

Showered and ready for the dentist! This was a pretty sight!

Rocked out to this album while I had the car to myself for once!

In and out of my teeth cleaning appointment, CHHHHEEEEEEESSSSSEEEEE and back home so Andrew can get working!

Returned home to find this guy thrilled to see me…

Andrew put a movie on for the kids so I let them finish it up while I tackled this disaster…

Unloading the dishwasher, but not without the best helper!

15 minutes later, thank goodness for this reset.

Walked by this room again, then turned around and walked back the other way. I cannot…..

Movie finished up so the kids got ready for our first park outing of 2021

They’re not excited at all.

Switched my outfit before we went…all about the layers today!

All Old Navy – joggers//henley tank

Jean Jacket//Shoes

Enjoyed some time at the our favorite park!

Tuckered out from all the outdoor play!

The family that owns this playground and market are apple farmers, but they also have goats and chickens that they brought over for all the kiddos to enjoy!

We stopped in the market and grabbed a TINNNYYYY treat, the kids were begging for a donut from the bakery, but that was a no-go, too much sugar recently!

Back home and lunch time! It was warm out so the kids wanted to eat in the gazebo

Random salad for me… Didn’t have half the veggies I like to throw on my salads in the fridge so this was pretty bland, but still very good! I love to throw a dollup of hummus on my salad.

Lunch is complete and now nap time for this guy who was tuckered. But not until we read some of his favs!

Walked down the stairs and caught eyes with this disaster again…quickly walked past.

The weather was gorgeous so the cleaning inside can wait!

Went back outside to see what Audrey and JP were up too and also get started on patching.

While those two continued playing, I reheated some cheesy potato casserole and threw on a little hot sauce – YUM!

Down to the basement to check my seedling trays. Growth is a little slow, I think it’s because our basement is cool and dry? Might need a little heater down there next year, but overall, things are slowly but surely sprouting!

Grabbed this guy for his nap! Reading his favorite story!

Back down and FINALLY tackled this mess! YAY!

Then Audrey and I went outside for some more play!

Then I surveyed my garden area for the millionth time to try and figure out how big my new beds are going to be

Back inside for a late afternoon snack and by this time, Audrey was able to take off her patch!

Then this guy woke up shortly after! He still takes a good 1.5 hr – 2 hr nap

Audrey had her first gymnastics class (she was SO excited and has been asking to try it for a long time!)

Dressed and ready for her first day!

We hung out in the parking lot and ran around with a childhood friend and her kiddos! It was their first day too, so it worked out!

Then back home for some more outdoor play while I started dinner – SPAGHETTI and MEAT SAUCE – a fam FAV!

These two crack me up, since we were a little under the weather, the girls took a break from playing the past week and a half. They were FaceTiming, but my phone died so I told them to go chat in the yard!

After chatting with my neighbor, we decided they kept their distance long enough and it was back to playing once again!

Dinner was ready and since it was still so warm out, we decided to eat outside!

Quickly back outside for more fun!

After a late evening of play, it was up for showers (at 8:15 pm), teeth brushing and PJs! Tommy was down a little later, close to 9 pm and Audrey and JP went shortly after – they were exhausted from all the activity outside!

I did some Instagram browsing and then it was off to bed around 10:15 pm for Andrew and I.

And that’s a day in the life around here! Thanks so much for joining us!!

SO much wonderful outdoor time!! We are having temps near 70 today and I am LOVING it. I dragged out some patio furniture and sat in the sun reading a book ignoring all the housework.
