Oh my gosh you guys – what a perfect post to return to after not blogging for nearly a month! I feel like I am finally coming up for air after a crazy busy three weeks! Sharing a little of what’s happening!

Ugh! We celebrate our 7 year old today! How did she get so big?!

She is our precious little girl and we have fun plans to celebrate her today!

What I’m Loving…

Getting back into routine

The end of summer started to kick my behind. It’s been a lot of scrambling basically the whole month of August which honestly just flew right on by! With the kids going back to school, I didn’t realize how I personally need that time to regroup.

I’m also going to enjoy spending some one on one time with Tommy – even though I don’t want JP’s off days to fly by.

What We’ve Been Up To…

EVERYTHING!

My gosh August has been crazy town! We went on vacation, returned back to school, celebrated birthdays, had a funeral, had a baby shower, had a wedding, started soccer, have been making/delivering bouquets and just put together a county fair arrangement!

What I’m Dreading…

Winter approaching.

There I said it. Why am I bringing winter up when it’s still far away?! Because it sneaks up on you crazy fast. I’m going to miss the warm summer nights, long sunshine days and being able to leave the house without a coat.

I’m also really dreading putting my garden to bed for the season. The gorgeous flowers bring me so much joy!

What I’m Working On…

Getting back on a house routine

I’ve been clawing my way out of the past couple weeks, so it will be good to get back on my cleaning/maintenance routine. While the kids are back in school, I plan to go through and declutter a lot too!

I’m also redoing our front driveway beds. They have been on my list for a LONG time and I’m finally getting around to planting it!

What I’m Excited About…

Mom retiring!

I am SO EXCITED my Mom is finally retiring! She’s been at the same company for almost 40 years and it’s about time she enjoys life and some freedom!

Excited for a season change

While I’m obsessed with summer – fall is just a beautiful time of year. The air and the mood smell different, football starts again, dahlias start blooming like crazy, the trees start to change, it’s just so great! I can’t wait to savor it all!

What I’m Watching/Reading…

My husband and I finished the Terminal List last month – highly recommend!

We watched the catfishing documentary with Manti Te’o – that was pretty crazy.

Reading wise – next on my list is The Golden Couple. My mother-in-law gave me the book to read what feels like a year ago at this point…

What I’m Doing This Weekend…

Everything, ha!

We have a fun-filled weekend coming up! Audrey has a four day weekend because of the county fair so we are going to go to that, go to the air show, go to Ohio State to tailgate, go to a labor day breakfast a friend is hosting and try to swim somewhere in between! The weather looks beautiful so I’m really looking forward to it!

What I’m Looking Forward To Next Month…

Ready for a slow down!

I am beyond excited to settle down JUST a little (even though Andrew has a really busy month ahead). We have plans to go to Cedar Point during the month, so really looking forward to that as well!

What Else is New??

I’m off to get some donuts for our special birthday girl and get a lot of to-do’s knocked out today!!
