What’s Up Wednesday [02.23.22]

It’s the last Wednesday of the month, and that means I’m linking up with some of my favorite bloggers Mix & Match Mama and Sheaffer Told Me To to share what has been happening around here! These are my favorite posts – I LOVE seeing what others have going on and love that I can look back at these someday!

What We’re Eating This Week…

Finally got to the grocery store after not being home for a good portion of last week.

We tried Mix & Match Mama’s pulled pork stuffed potatoes and they were DELISH! I actually bought a pre-made pulled pork kit from Aldi for this rather than slow cooking a pork shoulder.

Had some beef ravioli and a caesar salad for a late lunch on Sunday

Making some soup today and then we have dinner at my in-laws tomorrow!

Of course you can’t forget our after school snack boards

What I’m Reminiscing About

Spring Vacation with the fam

Last year we were preparing for our spring break trip with my whole family! It’s kind of sad that we won’t be able to do trips like that without having to pull the kids out because school schedules and time off of work don’t align!

What I’m Loving…

Heat wave

It was so nice to finally have all the snow melt! I think Cleveland has had snow on the ground for ~23 straight days – so crazy!

We enjoyed some amazing sunshine and time outside – the kids were screaming “FREEDOM”!

Enjoying lunch under our favorite tree!

These two cuties!

And of course we can’t forget the other little cuties!

What We’ve Been Up To…

Well, if you really want to see what we’ve been up to – check out this post right here!

Back to the Office

Andrew recently got a promotion (YAY!) and part of that position requires him to be back in the office. It’s been sad to not have him around during the day (mind you he’s been home since the pandemic started!) or to have the flexibility to head out when the boys are napping, but I am so happy for him! We both were just saying though, we feel like our relationship needed this – a little time to miss each other, ha!

Wrapping up invite orders!

I’ve been working on a handful of invite orders recently! It felt so good to wrap one up this past weekend!

What I’m Dreading…

Lugging the kiddos everywhere now that Andrew is back in the office! It really was so convenient, but back to the way things used to be!

What I’m Working On…

I’ve been drafting some logos for the new flower business and I’m so excited to get that buttoned up so I can start making it all official!

Garden Planning

I’m still trying to figure out what I’m planting and where. It has been so tricky because there are so many things I want to grow, but I want to make sure I am doing things at a rate I can keep up with! I learned so much last season – removed some flowers from my grow list that were not big producers and kind of a hassle, switching to raised beds after a crummy June/July filled with so much rain and upped my Dahlia game for this season!

What I’m Excited About…

Audrey first school sport!

Track starts soon and I am so excited for Audrey to be doing an extracurricular for her school! She is really quick and I’m excited to watch her run!

First Blooms of the Season

I cannot wait to get my hands on some flowers! It is hard to believe that some of the first blooms (my tulips!) will be here in about a month! I am also a little nervous because the farm I provide flowers at asked if I could sell some potted tulips and also use them to decorate a display they are creating for a pretty big event in our area! Please send some prayers my way – for my flowers and for myself, that we can pull this off!

What I’m Watching/Reading…

My husband and I have been wanting to get back into Succession. We are just exhausted by the end of the day so we have not! Maybe this weekend?!

I am currently starting Abbi Waxman – A Garden of Small Beginnings. Our garden club started a little book club and this is the book!

What I’m Listening To

Morgan Wallen – Dangerous

Still listening to this album on repeat! We were supposed to go to the concert a few weeks ago, but it was cancelled/rescheduled because of the huge ice storm that pummeled the US!

What I’m Wearing…

All the neutrals!

Wearing all the neutral outfits and layers…

Plaid Blazer (my mother-in-law purchased from TJ Maxx) // Scuba Leggings // Tank // Heeled Boots

Cardigan // Tank // Heeled Boots

Target sweater is sold out – I think this one is from a couple years ago – I still really love it!

Shoes // Coat // Hat

Can’t forget some fun and festive nails using my fav polishes!

I’ve been noticing a difference in forehead wrinkles and I’m thinking it is from this cream!

Vitamin C moisturizer

What I’m Doing This Weekend…

Galentine’s Craft Night

My cousin is hosting a little “galentine’s” party where we are crafting, eating, drinking and chatting! I’m looking forward to seeing her!

What I’m Looking Forward To Next Month…

S P R I N G

GIVE ME SPRING! I am sooooo looking forward to the beginning of springtime! The smells, warmer temps, greenness, longer days, the excitement of a new season – give it to me!

What Else is New??

That’s about it! Thanks so much for reading today!

My husband has recently started going into the office twice a week and we also love that we can miss each other now. As much as we loved spending every second together the last two years, it is nice to have some time apart ha!

Right?! We were saying the same thing – it was becoming too much especially with kids being loud and running rampant around the house all day!

  2. Joanne says:

What a yummy week! I just made a soup this morning to; but not for dinner. My oldest son and I ate some for lunch and then I packed up the rest for lunches the remainder of the week. Best of luck to you and your tulips!

I make a lot of healthy after school snack boards too! They’re a fun way for the kids to pick and choose what they want, but it’s always a healthy option.
