Weekend Rewind: Weekend Top 4 – 03/30/20

Good morning everyone – happy Monday! I haven’t done one of these posts in a while, but I figured, why not! To me, I want this blog to be a place where I can personally look back and see how things were around here!

So this weekend was pretty low key, given our circumstances at this time being quarantined – it did push me to start the potty training process for my 2.5 month old son…

Potty Training

JP is taking on this milestone like a champ! I was so impressed with his willingness and understanding of the potty. My mantra every ten minutes, “Do you have to use the potty?” He has been very receptive to it, the only thing we need to work on is staying dry at nap time…Going to make sure we lock it down this week!

Queue the embarrassing pictures…

(Hands were immediately washed…ugh kids touch everything!)

Warm Temperatures = Outside time!

We spent A LOT of time outside, or at least as much as we could when it was not raining. The warm temperatures felt so refreshing and I’m hoping they are here to stay! As long as we don’t dip back into the 30’s and low 40’s during the day, I’m good!

Feeding ducks in our “pond” that developed in our side yard after a ton of overnight rain!

These temps also prompted me to open all the windows and doors and air out the house! Our whole house humidity jumped big time too, which is great for our bodies to have some of that moisture in the house rather than all the dry winter air!

Easter Shopping

As I mentioned, I was dreading a Target pick up order – for some reason my Target would not allow me to pick up the baby wipes I needed so I decided to head to the store RIGHT when they opened to grab some baby essentials and while I was there I finished my Easter basket shopping so I wouldn’t have to run out ever again!

I will be sharing some ideas for Easter baskets this week, but one item I know the kids are going to LOVE this year…

They have been so into catching worms and their ultimate goal in life is to catch a butterfly, so I felt this would be the perfect gift for them!

I was browsing Amazon for certain things last week and A LOT of the items were shipping after Easter. Make sure you get a jump on it if you have little ones or be aware that you might have to do order pick-up at Walmart, Target, etc…

Grocery Delivery!

This is a BIG deal now a days! We had an instacart delivery from Aldi and wow, it feels good to have some snacks and food to offer these kids other than PASTA!

No joke, the kids unloaded the groceries and you would think it was Christmas morning!

Another big win, they had paper towels in stock! It’s the little things now-a-days!

Hope you all had an amazing weekend and have a great week ahead!
