Good morning and happy Wednesday! I hope you are having an amazing week! Today, I’m linking up with Shay from Mix and Match Mama blog and Erica from A Little Bit of Everything blog to chat this month’s “Let’s Look” blog prompt – my morning routine.
My morning routine varies on a seasonal basis (don’t ask me why) it technically shouldn’t, but I find I cannot get up very easy in the dead of winter. Spring, summer and fall months, I can pop right out of bed when the alarm goes off at 5:30, but winter time – that’s a different story!
Today, I’m sharing a very typical morning routine with you. This summer will look COMPLETELY DIFFERENT – I may actually do a separate blog post on that!
My morning wake up currently varies from 5:45 – 6:30 am depending on what we have going on. I chose to sleep in a bit!
Net up, I let the dog out and went to go check my calendar to see what we had going on for the day. Nellie stepped all over my planner with her muddy paws the other day….
Next up, I put on my Hallow app to listen to the daily reflection. If I can get the rosary in at this time, I will.
I had a tulip order to prep, so it was out to the garage to pull the stems and get those ready to be processed!
Next up, time to get the kiddos awake. Audrey is the only one with school on Tuesday. I normally GRADUALLY wake the kiddos – starting at 7:05, I turn the light on and say okay, time to wake soon. I feel like it helps soften the blow!
I opened the window to get some fresh air! One of my favorite things…such a beautiful morning!
Back downstairs to have my breakfast. Breakfast of choice normally, Grainberry cereal, but today I was craving an everything bagel! I also had my lemon water and some of my vitamins. You can read all about that routine here!
Next up I prepare snack and any lunches if needed to be made that day.
By that time, it’s back up to do the FOR REAL wake up! Kiddos have been playing outside a TON and get zonked!
Got sissy up and ready to go – she took care of all the things.
I went back down to start her breakfast and found this guy already enjoying his!
Then down came the other two – ready for breakfast! We have a bunch of toast and cereal lovers in this house!
Got sissy all packed up and it was out the door! Nellie comes to drop off EVERY MORNING! This particular morning, the boys could stay home because Andrew was home!
And we’re off!
A few minutes later, Audrey is dropped off and now its back home to unload the dishwasher and make my coffee!
Then back to work on my tulip order for a bit and work in the garden watering plants, etc. The boys will generally assist with this!

I find our routine changes with the seasons too! I dread those mornings that my son doesn’t wake himself up and I have to try and coax him out of bed. Luckily my boys are a lot like me and just seem to automatically wake up when we need to be up.
