Friday Favorites – 1.06.23

WOW, the first Friday favs post of 2023! I can’t even believe it! Well, we made it through the week – I told the kiddos it wouldn’t be all that bad! I did break my heart on Wednesday – JP complained his throat was hurting and then his belly at school – turns out he was just homesick (which his teacher suspected). He just really wanted to come home! That made me so sad, it’s the first time he’s ever been visually upset at school and I guess all he needed was just one more day! It is a big transition after being home for two weeks!

Of course, I’m linking up with some of my favorite bloggers to share some Friday Favorites with you all!

Favs from the week!

It was really nice to get back into routine. I feel like we are all benefiting from this! We plan to enjoy one last week of Christmas decorations and then down it comes!

The weather has been unseasonably warm, so any change we get to get outside is always a fav of mine.

Seeing the sun a couple days this week always makes my heart happy!

I rocked my cleaning checklist last month and am on a roll for January! The end of December got out of control just cleaning up Christmas boxes and reorganizing, but we are finally back on track!

Tommy woke up one morning and decided he was going to use the potty – now he’s using it all the time. I can’t believe how easy he was to potty train! So proud of this little guy!

Sharing this mop again because I’m obsessed.

A visit to Grandma’s is always a fav! The kiddos built a fort and enjoyed bouncing like nut jobs on the bounce house!

Fav Foodie of the week…

You need a delish, healthy and flavorful lunch – I got one for you!

Take a Costco hummus cup, throw on a spoonful of quinoa salad and dip with some Naan bread! Omg so quick easy and tasty!

Fav Clothing of the week…

This top is my absolute favorite and so comfortable. Love that it covers the back side – so comfy!

In the Garden this week…

Give my flower instagram account a follow if you are interested to see what is happening around the yard!

I can’t even believe I’m starting seeds! I got all my seeds a couple weeks ago and need to pull out my seed starting schedule tonight to get going this weekend!

On the Blog…

As much as I love Christmas, I love seeing it all come down and starting the new year with a clean slate. I leave out wintry items in our home, like green garland that looks real and that drapes on our mantel, I leave out a wood pallet tree that is bright with white lights, and other small items like that. Your lunch idea sounds delicious…I will have to try that! I hope you have a great day and weekend! I’m stopping by from the Friday Favorites link party. Nice to “meet” you!

Aw, that would have broken my mommy heart just a little bit too. I was always the kid that felt sick at school because I just wanted to be home… So precious. We have had unusually warm weather too but it’s been so rainy and dreary this week that it’s hard to enjoy it. We’re HOPING to get out for a hike this coming Monday since it’s not supposed to rain but I’m not counting on it since the weather can change pretty suddenly this time of year. Yay for easy potty training! My middle son was like that and it was so nice.
