Good morning and happy Monday! This Monday is going to feel rough after the nice and relaxing holiday weekend we had! Hope you had a restful weekend and wishing you a great week ahead!
Today, I am sharing my teachers gift guide. I’ve already got mine purchased and now I just need to wrap it! Will be nice to give back to Audrey’s teachers who do so so much!
I hope you and your family had a great Thanksgiving! It is so crazy to me that we are so close to Christmas and 2021 – the end of this year is flying! We had a really nice dinner and will be feasting on all the leftovers today!
Today, I’m doing another fun link up with Mix and Match Mama and Sheaffer Told Me To where we recap the month with a little this and that! I love these kind of posts – they also make me happy because someday, I can look back at these little “journal” excerpts showing a glimpse of our lives lately!
I cannot believe Thanksgiving is TOMORROW! Time has flown! I need to get my house in check and have so many things to do around the house today – good thing it’s rainy and cold – I’m forced inside to tidy it up!
Today I wanted to share my holiday shopping “routine” so to speak. I noticed there are things I do every single year and I figured they would be worth sharing! Speaking of worth sharing, my holiday gift guides are out and I’m sharing a couple each week! You can check out the guides below: Toddler Gift Guide Ladies Gift Guide Mens Gift Guide
Happy Friday!! After some crazy weather this past weekend, some freezing cold temps and even snow this week – we are enjoying some balmy weather for a couple days! Headed to my sister in laws for a play date with the kiddos this morning – super excited! Hope you have an amazing day yourself!
Today I’m sharing the first of many gift guides and it’s one that I happen to know a lot about because these are toys my kiddos use or are on our wish list! This list was made for both toddler girls and boys in mind. I hope you can get some really good ideas from this guide and it makes shopping for your child, niece, nephew or grandchild super easy! Age range for these items would be ages 2-6.
Good morning and happy Monday! Can you believe Thanksgiving is right around the corner?! Oh my gosh then right after that, Christmas?! The end of this year seems to be flying by so to get ahead of the game and start tackling your Christmas shopping, I figured I would share some gift guides based on items I use, love, gift to others and actually want for myself and kiddos!
I’ll be posting a couple gift guides each week all the way up until mid-December, so be sure to stop back to my blog to check them out! I LOVE gift guides! First off, it eases the stress of holiday shopping and getting ideas from others is extremely helpful when you are stumped trying to figure out what to buy for someone. I hope my gift guides are helpful to you this holiday season!
Today I’m sharing a day in the life of us post! I love reading these posts on other blogs. Just an uneventful Wednesday for us – except the news that sissy has to go to virtual learning until the end of November – sigh… Just when we were getting into the swing of things!
Today I’m linking up with some of my favorite bloggers Erika and Shay, to look at our holiday menu! I LOVE Thanksgiving food – even better – all the leftovers! It’s almost better the day after!
Good morning and happy Monday! I hope you had an amazing weekend – we definitely did as our weather was an absolute dream! We still have some nice weather on tap for us this week and we are definitely making the most of it.
I’m not going to lie, the past week has been rough. I’ve found myself angry, I’ve found myself consumed by everything that is going on in our country and also slightly terrified. I stepped away from watching ALL the news/media, which is sad this is what it comes to. I’m often left feeling upset that we are being controlled little by little and we will never know the total TRUTHS in anything going on. Journalist integrity is DEAD and that alone has put me in a dark place.
What.a.week it’s been!! I really needed a mental health break from this week and really did NOT feel creative whatsoever. Is everyone else’s mind going absolutely in all directions?! Hoping and praying for our country right now! Sharing some things that make me happy!
Hello November and hello Monday! A little late to the game here today, but that’s okay – I’m sure I’m not the only one having a manic Monday! We had a really nice Halloween (one of the first in recent years without rain or gloom!) and we also stayed nice and cozy as we saw some of the first snowflakes fly of the season!

Good morning and Happy Tuesday! My husband and I are starting to feel better which is good, the kids don’t QUIT – so that has been hard trying to juggle resting and playtime particularly when we’re trapped inside because the weather hasn’t been the greatest.
We did have a chance to get outside last week/weekend during some of the nicer days and finalize some of our home winterizing tasks. As I was working through my list, I thought, am I the only one with a winterizing checklist for the house? Are there things you button up every year and if so, how do you not forget about doing them? I would love to hear how you plan for the cold weather days ahead!
Another week come and gone! Our week was filled with lots of rain and dreary weather but we were given a summer-like day yesterday that made up for all the crummy weather recently!
It’s Thrifty Thursday!! Yes, this title might sound a little EXTREME, but I’m telling you – IT IS NOT!
Last year we welcomed our youngest child, T, and right before his arrival my husband and I sat down to talk over our budget and adjust it accordingly with new baby expenses (i.e. diapers, wipes, formula, etc.) It is so great being able to pull out all the baby stuff we’ve accumulated since having Audrey and JP and I remember pulling one of the things from storage – the infant car seat – and having a moment. How on earth are we going to transport these kiddos, our family of five from place to place?!
My husband drives a sedan and I drive a mid-size SUV – a Ford Edge. These cars obviously aren’t the biggest for transporting a family of five and the back seat did not fit our car seats. That’s when we started our search for a new car. We bickered about the need for 2 SUV’s, argued about getting a minivan (I’m team SUV) or whether we should buy or lease and ultimately could not believe how expensive this investment would be!
I am proud of our financial decisions we’ve made thus far. Budgeting and planning has allowed us to clear away nearly all our debts. We aren’t ones who need the latest and greatest – my car is a 2008, I still have an iPhone 5 – really if it still works, all is good with us! The thought of tacking on more debt was slightly overwhelming – especially when there are no major issues with my car.
