A Day in the Life – November 2020

Today I’m sharing a day in the life of us post! I love reading these posts on other blogs. Just an uneventful Wednesday for us – except the news that sissy has to go to virtual learning until the end of November – sigh… Just when we were getting into the swing of things!

I’ve been getting up later and later as of recent. A lot to do with the fact Andrew and I have turned into night owls.

I was up and downstairs by 6:50 am

Enjoyed my everything bagel and filled my water cup up to the top!

Gathered Audrey’s schoolwork and plopped it in her book bag. Their assignment was to disguise the turkey so he wouldn’t be eaten on Thanksgiving – she said she wanted the turkey to be a mermaid

Audrey’s alarm goes off at 7:15 am – I went upstairs to wake her because I heard the music had not been shut off – this is what I found. NO MOVEMENT

Turned her lights on and let her slowly wake up! To my room I went to spray crazy amounts of dry shampoo to get me and my hair through the day!

YES! I spy little bodies that have finally woke!

Downstairs for breakfast. My kid’s love the Aldi heat and serve sausage links. Audrey has been loving the cinnamon raisin mini bagels – JP went for an everything bagel and little T, he likes toast!

While they eat, lunch making time! I found these adorable lunch notes at Dollar Tree!

7:50 am and it’s off to school we go! Andrew is still working from home, so he stays home with the little dudes.

$10 Walmart sherpa is COZY! Love this color! You can see I have LOTS of laundry to catch up on!

Quick diaper changes then back on the road for a grocery pick up in my parents and in-laws town!

We listened to Christmas music while waiting, it was kind of nice!

Loving this nail color! Spice Age

Of course we rolled through Dunkin to grab a donut for the boys – they were so patient!

I had to give my sister-in-law a ride to her car at a lot nearby so I decided to grab a Starbucks for us!

I wish we took a picture! We dropped my nephew off at daycare – which made me really sad and brought back such sad memories when I was working… Honestly, working Moms are TOUGH – I don’t know how they do it!

Back home and the boys were ready to get moving!

Helping me unload groceries – don’t let them fool you, they just want the SNACKS!

Separating and freezing the salmon fillets I got on sale

Sitting down for a little TV time!

Then to the basement we go to make a mess!

After playing for a bit, it was time for lunch. My kids LOVE the Aldi whole grain chicken fries! They are delish!

We played a little more after lunch then it was time for nap!

Yes I know, little T should be off his bottle! We’ve tried sippy cups – he refuses!

Downstairs to a mass of laundry to fold…

Dumped everything out then got sidetracked with my to-do list! I seriously have SO many gifts to buy for people so online shopping I went!

Time FLEW – it was time to grab little miss from school! I found out right then that school was going virtual until the end of the month…NOOOO!!!! There were two positive staff cases and no subs available to make up for the deficit of other people who needed to quarantine, so that’s why they needed to go virtual.

She loves showing all her work right when she gets in the car and I love it!

The neighbor wanted to play so Audrey made sure to waste no time and eat her snack outside!

I loaded up the dishwasher…then heard some cries from upstairs

Little man was a wee bit crabby

Then I found this guy in our bed, not sure when he arrived here…

Back downstairs for a little snack – I was starving too so I had a nice bowl of cereal – anyone else like cereal for a snack?!

I love when the sun hits the front room just right during these colder months

I went out into the garage to work on splitting my dahlia tubers – at this point the girls were playing spy outside and Tommy was just walking between garages enjoying the outdoors. It was pretty cold out, but he didn’t seem to mind.

An hour and a half later…split up some big tuber clumps

I was thinking spaghetti for dinner, but forgot to take out meat, so broccoli Alfredo it was!

I thought it was good, hubs thought it wasn’t rich enough – which is expected from jarred alfredo

Back to the laundry – the kids were enjoying it so much – maybe I should just skip this chore today…

Finalized some of my gifts

The kids watched Toy Story while I did that

8:15 pm I took T up for bed, got back down around 8:45 and the Andrew took the two bigs up to bed around 9:30!

I wrapped up this blog post, my to do list items and had a little treat to wrap up the day!

Pretty uneventful around here, but a good glimpse at what our days are normally like! Hoping you have a great Thursday! I’ll see you back here tomorrow for Friday favs!

I envy your late mornings! My son has to be at school for 7 on his in person days and online by 7:15 on his virtual days. Sounds like a good day!
