What’s Up Wednesday [11.25.20]

Today, I’m doing another fun link up with Mix and Match Mama and Sheaffer Told Me To where we recap the month with a little this and that! I love these kind of posts – they also make me happy because someday, I can look back at these little “journal” excerpts showing a glimpse of our lives lately!

What We’re Eating This Week…

All the comfort foods!
Spaghetti and homemade meatballs from my bulk meatball making/freezing
Homemade Chicken Noodle Soup
Chicken Pot Pie

Lime Chipotle Chicken Salads

What I’m Reminiscing About

Lush Greenery and Daylight

I miss summer! All the trees filled with leaves and soo many colorful flowers, ugh! I already miss spending so much time outside and daylight stretching into 9 p.m.! By 5 pm these days I’m ready for bed, ha!

What I’m Loving…

Christmas Decorations

I’ve loved seeing all the Christmas decorations everyone is putting up in their homes! The lights and decor just make everything in the home so much better! Such a magical time of the year!

We are waiting to put up our Christmas decorations after Thanksgiving – I’m getting my table all set up and ready for action!

We had some pine branches come down during a big storm so I collected the greens and made a free “urn” arrangement for my front porch! Still want to add a couple things, but this beat throwing them into the fire pit!

I definitely need to update my wreath bows!

What We’ve Been Up To…

Christmas List Making and Shopping

I feel I’ve been making some good progress! Today I shared some tips on how I shop smart during the holiday season!

Organizing this Mess…

Any other toddler Moms have their house looking like this?!

The kids and I went through all our toys this weekend in an effort to donate things they are not using to someone who is not as fortunate! They were so so nice in giving away things! An important lesson to give to those in need.

This is also a great time to get organized and throw out any toys that are broken, missing parts, etc. It felt good to have dedicated place for certain toys so they will know where to look or put things when they are done playing.

Staying Cozy

We’ve been laying low and enjoyed staying cozy and comfy!

What I’m Dreading…

My husband and I are going on a little getaway and the thought of leaving the kiddos behind makes us uneasy. We are SO looking forward to spending some uninterrupted actual QUALITY time but we are already missing the kiddos and wondering if they should come along.

What I’m Working On…

Holiday Gift Guides

If you haven’t seen them yet – check them out! I will be putting out a couple more next week! I’m hoping these are a helpful resource for you!

You can find all the guides here.

Wedding Invitations

Working on some fun wedding invites!

What I’m Excited About…

Mapping out my garden for spring!

I plan on expanding my garden this spring and I’m already SO excited for it! I am taking a renowned course on how to make this garden profitable!

What I’m Watching/Reading…

The Dilemma – B.A. Paris

I just finished this book and I would give it a 3.5/5. I like to be spooked (which is what I was kind of expecting from B.A. Paris) but was let down.

I’m now onto this book – I’ve heard really good things about this one – hoping I can make some big progress on vacation!

What I’m Listening To

Christmas music and jazz music on Spotify! So very relaxing and fun to have on in the background!

What I’m Wearing…

Shared my new polish – you guys know I love switching up my nails at home! It was on sale in stores, so I’m thinking you might be able to find it on clearance!

Spice age – Sally Hansen

All the comfies! Recently I shared THESE shoes! I am really loving them and have received so many compliments on them – they are just so fun!

Target Sweaters!

I’ve been cleaning out my closet going out with the old, in with the new! Target had a BOGO 50% off sale so I really took advantage of that!

I love the detail of this sweater! The ruffles are perfect – not too over the top, but enough to give some pop! Again, sharing these chunky heeled booties.

I love the mock turtleneck on this one! This sweater totally surprised me! I really love the light brown color!

This cable stitch pullover sweater is SO CUTE! I fell in love with this mauve color immediately!

I love the color of this turtleneck! Also it is buttery soft! The booties I’m wearing are Target too!

This sweater has gorgeous coloring throughout. They say it is cream, which it is, but it has beautiful tones of blue and mauve in the stitching! The puffy sleeve up at the shoulder is just enough too!

Sharing this Old Navy henley again because I will be wearing this on repeat ALL WINTER LONG!

Speaking of Old Navy, so many of you loved these joggers!

What I’m Doing This Weekend…

Hopefully knocking out my Christmas shopping and starting to decorate the house!

What I’m Looking Forward To Next Month…

Christmas!

Such a fun time of the year with the kiddos! So magical!

Relaxing Vacation

We had some flight credit to use and my husband and I thought it would be perfect to have a little getaway in some warm weather for a couple days! Just a nice reset it’s been a while since we’ve done any date night or had time to ourselves.

What Else is New??

Not too much! Have so many house projects that I’ve been putting off! My dining room needs better organization and I’ve been wanting to paint our master bath and hang wallpaper in our living room! I’ve had the supplies for a year now!

Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family!! 🙂

It’s never easy to leave the kids behind… but my husband and I have never once regretted it either. Honestly they usually were having so much fun with their grandparents they hardly even noticed or cared we were gone! I too miss the leaves on the trees and the longer days.

I too miss the longer days. I’m always ready for bed by 4:30pm these days and 7pm feels like midnight! Enjoy your warm weather vacation — I always dread leaving my kids too but it is always SO WORTH IT! And seeing all those Target sweaters makes me wish we had a Target nearby. There are a lot of cute things there!
