Holiday Gift Guides 2020: Functional Gifts for Kids

I meant to post this yesterday, in fact I had other posts scheduled for the past couple days, but LIFE and VACATION got to me! I am back and hoping to stay ahead of the game! A major goal of mine is to be wayyyy more organized and structured in the blogging world come 2021.

Wrapping up my gift guides with Christmas nearly a week away, I figured I would share some FUNCTIONAL gift items that kids will love, but also YOU will love as well because hey, they’re needed! So here they are, some gifts that are both functional and fun. These gifts aren’t necessarily toys – they have a dual purpose and most likely will satisfy a need in your household! Happy shopping!

I always laugh when I see this Meme…

I guess that’s how I’ll describe some of these gifts below…

Floor Puzzle

We love these floor puzzles and have the one below. Just ordered the construction site puzzle for my son.

Butterfly Craze Floor Pillow

My daughter has this in her room and we love it! You are required to fill the case it with five pillows. We love to use this for sleepovers in our bedroom – Audrey will bring this on our floor and it is perfect!

Umbrella

The kids love having their own umbrellas – random but they love them!

Snow Bib

The kids NEEDED these. Anyone else scramble to find clothing for snow play?!

Water Bottle

Each kid owns their own water bottle – love this brand and these bottles

Puddle Jumper

A MUST HAVE! We have a pool and these puddle jumpers are a life saver…the kids are learning how to kick their legs and move around the pool freely

Warmies

I LOVE THIS – and actually probably use it more than the kiddos, ha! You heat this lavender scented stuffed animal in the microwave and use it to relief muscle aches, cramps, belly aches or heat little feet in the cold winter months!

The carry a bunch of different animals – we have the husky!

Helmet

Something that is necessary for kiddos who are riding bikes and scooters

Electric Toothbrush

My daughter loves her electric toothbrush, so I just got one for my sons stocking!

Rainboots

Always a great thing to own because kids love to find themselves in messy and wet situations!

My First Cookbook

This cookbook looks awesome! Easy meals to make with your kiddos and a fun activity too!

Paper Roll Dispenser

My daughter has been nonstop with our printer paper, so this will be nice to set out and have her grab whatever she needs when she wants.

Stainless Steel Cups

My husband and I use cups like these everyday and we always find the kids drinking from them. Now they can have their own cool cup!

Hasty Baker Game

This game looks like so much fun! Activity and learning at the same time

Alarm Clock

We own this alarm clock and LOVE it! We set awake and sleep times and refer to Mella during these times – also the alarm clock has been awesome with school this year!

Plastic Plates, Bowls and Utensils

We own this set of bowls and the boy colored set and LOVE THEM! My kids use them every single day. They love color coordinating at mealtime. Also, top shelf dishwasher safe.

Kids’ Encyclopedia

Okay, love this. To me an awesome thing to own and have your kids look through! I remember using the Encyclopedia on my parents computer – I was always fascinated!
