A Day in the Life – October 2021

Good morning and happy Tuesday! Today I’m sharing a day in the life post – a random Wednesday last week – because these are some of my favorite posts to read on other blogs and I also like that these serve as a journal type post that we can look back on years from now!

I got up at 7 am (so late!) – I’ve been hitting snooze A LOT recently!

Went in to wake up the crew! They always sleep together!

Downstairs after teeth were brushed and we were ready to go!

Such a beautiful morning!

Audrey had some homework to finish up, so I set that up for her then went to make breakfast.

Gave the kiddos their vitamins!

Then some manukora honey for JP and his throat!

Loaded up Audrey’s lunch with leftover homemade chicken noodle soup. I will heat water in a mug for 2 minutes then pour into the thermos to heat it up prior to adding the hot soup!

Bottles filled, lunch and snacks packed!

Both kiddos are dropped off at 8 am and it looks like I need a shower!

Back home and out to get some garden stuff done! I have 1,200 tulips to plant! My outfit matches my mood for the day!

But first, need to eat some breakfast!

And some coffee!

Browsed through a Walmart ad – cannot believe Christmas is right around the corner! Then headed outside to get some tulips planted with my assistant!

He helped transport tulip bags from the garage to my garden beds!

And shovel some dirt around…

Before we knew it, it was time to leave to pick up JP from preschool!

We caught a glimpse of our favorite girl at recess while waiting for JP to run out!

Loaded up the goods and headed back home for more outside time! It was an absolutely gorgeous day!

Got about halfway through planting the tulip bulbs – it was then time to head in for lunch!

My gosh was the kitchen a mess…

Reheated some homemade chicken noodle soup served with a butter ciabatta roll

Then it was time for naps

I had to hop in the shower and quickly get ready to leave my two for a primary care doctor visit.

Dressed and ready to go!

Andrew works from home so it makes it easy to head out for appointments during naps

Did not have an appointment that I was in and out of, which was a good thing! Very thorough appt!

Tried to make it back before Audrey got off the bus, but she beat me!

Then back outside to finish planting… I worked for about an hour and a half

Just in time for the sun to go down and moon to come out!

Came in to tacos/taco bowls made – thanks Andrew! I devoured it!

Right after dinner we packed up quickly for a night time nature schoolhouse class.

It was all about owls!

Such a beautiful little evening!

Headed back home to get ready for bed!

I cleaned for about an hour! Finally tackled this!

Got the eufy running…notice the black slime spots that need to be cleaned…

And that was it! I seriously went upstairs and passed out for the night at 9:20pm!

And that’s a day in the life around here! Thanks so much for joining us!!
