A Day in the Life – June 2021

Today I’m sharing a day in the life of our summer post. This day was completely random and only 60 degrees, so we were acting like freeze babies and stayed indoors more than usual!

Snoozed when I shouldn’t have!

Walked downstairs to this….

Grabbed my flowers I cut the night before to arrange a bouquet…

Set it out on the end of the driveway

Came back in to clean up the toys and the mess because Eufy was set to run!

Ahhhh! Much better!

Put away the dishes – my dishwasher is still broken and it’s been ROUGH!

Made a coffee, lemon water and sat down for a little bit before Andrew head out for a meeting

The kids were still sleeping so it was nice to enjoy some quiet time!

We were also laughing about the shades of our coffee

He thinks mine is insanely light…haha maybe it is? We pulled up this graphic and were laughing about it – I’m thinkin I’m C3 oe A5?! That’s not terrible, I look forward to coffee and creamer in the morning! Andrew is E6…YUCK!

Read this in silence, then the kiddos were up and downstairs!

Awake and just in time to say goodbye to Dad!

I asked what they wanted for breakfast and of course a trifecta of different items…

Sausage

Scrambled Eggs

In a mug and the microwave for ease!

Our favorite waffles

Done making waffles and eating breakfast, called my Mom while I tidied up around the house a little more!

Kiddos played outside in their jammies for a little!

We got Audrey’s patch on

Then back in the house where all H E L L broke loose. Obviously didn’t document this, but the kids were bickering NONSTOP and it was off to time out for both of them.

Worked out for me, I was able to get laundry put away and clean the downstairs bathroom…

After that fiasco, I finally showered and changed to head out to run errands. It was 60 degrees – basically freezing.

I had some returns and needed to stop at the post office

A ride through town to our favorite post office at the bottom of the hill near our house!

The kiddos super pumped because they always get suckers!

Happy campers – errands are done!

Headed back home but first passing my fav nursery that sits in the valley!

Back home to a semi clean home as we had friends coming over to play in the afternoon!

Munched on these amazing chips while making the kiddos lunches

PB&J and fruit for the kiddos, then made my lunch…

Got the boys down for naps!

Read one of T’s favorites!

Put him down then stopped in to see if JP was down….of course not!

Back downstairs where sissy was keeping herself busy!

I did not get any pictures, but my friend and her 3 girls came over to play from around 1:30 to 5:00! The kiddos had a lot of fun!

Ignore the messy garage, but they set up a bunch of chairs and hung out – it’s the little things!

After they left, put together an easy dinner!

Can’t even explain this…

Went outside to play a little more

…and take care of the neighbors flowers (they’re on vaca!) My little helper joined me!

But I think it was only for the swing…

Back over to check my flowers

Back inside for the night – then someone wanted dessert…

I love how the sun is so far on this side of the property during the summer

Our kitchen even gets a little sunshine love

Back over to get Tommy ready for bed…difficult to do because it is literally sunny out at 9:15 pm…

So we were winding down with a book and a movie

Soul – a cute movie – kinda sad though!

Bedtime hugs and up to bed.

Our view going up at 9:20…so light out!

Then book and bed for the other two!

After this, got ready for bed and worked on some blog things then passed out!

And that’s a day in the life around here! Thanks so much for joining us!!

I can’t believe your kids sleep so late! Mine didn’t start sleeping past 6 until they were teenagers.

What a great day in the life post! I love how much you document. And your love of flowers! I love watching my garden grow too! Where do you live that it’s bright so late?

Aww, thank you Megan! We live in Cleveland, Ohio – is it not light out late where you live?!
