What’s Up Wednesday [03.29.23]

It’s the last Wednesday of the month, and that means I’m linking up with some of my favorite bloggers Mix & Match Mama and Sheaffer Told Me To to share what has been happening around here! These are my favorite posts – I LOVE seeing what others have going on and love that I can look back at these someday!

What We’re Eating This Week…

We lost power over the weekend and have our frozen foods at my brother and sister in laws (thank goodness for that!) SO that means we’ve been working with nothing and eating out quite a bit.

I’m trying to meal plan the rest of the week to avoid spending any more money on restaurants/take out.

The only food I did make from scratch and photograph were these Peep Krispies for the egg hunt!

What I’m Reminiscing About

Spring break with our family! So sad that we’ll probably not be doing one of those for quite some time – everyone’s work schedules are so different (including spring break times for my brothers school).

Excited to have the whole family on our summer trip up north this year though!

What I’m Loving…

I was nervous to switch my hair up, but I do love how it turned out! My stylist did excellent!

What We’ve Been Up To…

We’ve been pretty busy, but this past weekend we were out of power for the majority of the time. We had two parties – a birthday party and an egg hunt- a play date, shopping for a flower girl dress and cleaning catch up once power was restored this weekend!

We’ve also been getting our Girl Scout cookie orders fulfilled for our “customers”!

I did flowers for a friends wedding! Centerpieces, some church arrangements, bridesmaids and bridal bouquets! It was fun to do – but definitely a lot of work logistically!

What I’m Dreading…

Cleaning and organizing our garages…

What I’m Working On…

It seems I’m working on everything right now! House things – trying to purge Tommy’s clothes (already did Audrey and JP) and Andrew and my closet.

Flower farming- I’ve been nurturing my seeds and tulips. Starting more seeds, checking my dahlia inventory and ordering new tubers! I also have a call with a local flower farming group regarding a joint business they started to serve local florists – I applied to join and will find out more after the call!

What I’m Excited About…

Warmer days ahead! I love when we spend the majority of our day outside in the sunshine and fresh air!

I’m also so excited for a super once in a lifetime trip (for us non traveler people anyway)! Andrew and I will be able to get away, but I will say it’s always hard to leave the kids.

Seeing this garden springing up signs of life gets me so excited for the upcoming season!

What I’m Watching/Reading…

My husband and I have been watching The Chosen and we’re obsessed!

No books at the moment.

What I’m Listening To

I’ve been using the Hallow app for the past couple months and it has changed my prayer life DRASTICALLY!

Hey! Check out this prayer & meditation app I discovered called Hallow: https://hallow.com/share/0GBYK6

What I’m Wearing…

If I ever photograph some new spring things…I found some super cute things but haven’t gotten around to photograph them!

What I’m Doing This Weekend…

Audrey has a cute little Girl Scout event and the boys are building a birdhouse bath at Home Depot! Just a handful of things to look forward to!

What I’m Looking Forward To Next Month…

I love spring and the Easter season, so really looking forward to all that!

What Else is New??

Not much else, but also all the things…

I shared Easter basket ideas for girls.

Favorite Amazon Purchase this Month….

I can’t wait to try out these clips myself from Audrey’s Easter basket!

So much good stuff going on; though I am sorry to hear that you had no power! That is never fun. Your hair looks fabulous.

I’m sorry to hear you had a power-less weekend. That’s not fun. I LOVE your hair and am excited to see all your flowers this season! I would absolutely be a customer if I lived closer 🙂
