What to Do with Kids – Week Four Winter Activity Ideas

Today I’m sharing week four of our “What to Do: Winter Activity Ideas”. We’ve been enjoying these activities and it is a great way to switch things up! Hope these give you some ideas and would love to hear any boredom busters you use at your house!

Sharing this week’s ideas and a description of each! Hope you have some fun with these boredom busters!

Play Blue’s Clues

My kid’s love watching Blue’s Clues and so I thought I would bring it to life in our own home! Cut out some paw prints, give your kiddos a notebook, place the clues around the house and watch them problem solve!

Karaoke Night

My sister-in-law gifted my daughter this microphone a couple years ago which can be used to have an at home karaoke night! Designate a stage and make sure no one is taking a video on their phone 🙂

Make a Bracelet (Girls) / Build a Legos Masterpiece (Boys)

On vacation this summer we had a “ladies night” where we drank some wine and made some of these popular bracelets

Audrey had a blast making these (and so did I!) there are sooo many different combinations to make and you can even make some for family and friends too!

Here are some of the beads we purchased!

This colorful bead set!

Then some elastic string

I purchased some gold bars, gold balls, gold & silver spacers, gold letters and basic black & white letter beads to add a different looks to the bracelets!

I loved this set of neutral colored beads – I have a feeling I’ll be making some neutral style bracelets!

and these plain black heishi beads

Since the boys likely won’t participate in this, so challenge your kiddos to make a LEGOs masterpiece!

Let’s be Healthy!

Serve a healthy meal for dinner and make some homemade smoothies for dessert. Have your kids help you cook and try to include foods from each food group!

Relax at a Coffee Shop

Not sure if this is possible with crazy kiddos, but this would be a great way to get out of the house and provides a warm and cozy atmosphere to hang out and spend time! My kids love going places and I know they would enjoy this. Grab a little treat, some hot cocoa and some coffee for a nice morning/evening. We have some local coffee shops nearby that we LOVE and are happy to support!
