Let’s Look: Favs from High School and College

Good morning and happy Wednesday! Today, I’m linking up with my some of my favorite bloggers, Mix and Match Mama and A Little Bit of Everything, to share some favs from high school and college!

I’m dying… looking back at some of these pictures – its cringe-worthy!! But then I reminisce about some pretty awesome times in life! Here’s what I was able to conveniently dig up!

Favs from High School

I graduated from Willoughby South High School. We had a really big graduating class almost 400 I believe! I really enjoyed high school and we had a great group of friends!

Friday night football games were a big deal! Along with attending other sporting events!

Bonfires were always had! Sleepovers where we would ”burn CDs” haha!

Wendy’s fries and a frosty were the go-to fast food items.

I worked at Dairy Queen starting as a freshman until junior year of college (only a couple hours here and there). But that was a big portion of my teen years! I did some kids golf camps and the beer cart for a couple summers.

Okay sharing some homecoming and prom pics! Andrew and I went to every dance together!

I think this is from Sophmore year of high school! I wish I had our freshman year homecoming pics! It was fun we always got to go to two dances! Andrew and I went to different high schools (he went to an all boys school).

Some high school golf pics! Thank goodness I don’t have many from basketball! I played golf and basketball all 4 years of high school!

Okay, I found this pic – we look like babies! This was before he left for college – he had to report early for football.

Favs from College

I graduated from Cleveland State University and really LOVED my school experience. I played golf for the school and we were so lucky to have a team comprised of amazing friends! I cherish all the amazing memories we were able to have together!

We got to travel to some nice places and play some really sweet courses during our careers!

TPC Sawgrass – we played it twice!

This picture cracks me up…

Thee largest bunker ever out in Las Vegas.

I really enjoyed the downtown atmosphere of campus! I took this at the pier downtown – I would always run here and back to my apartment!

We were able to enjoy all the things going on downtown – nightlife (when we were of age 🙂 ), events (such as the St. Patty’s day parade pictured below), sporting events and food!

My first two years of college I commuted to school. My scholarship did not cover room and board so I decided to save the money, but also really liked being home with my Mom and Dad! I’m such a homebody! I loved that I wouldn’t miss out on the little things at home because I could easily be there in 20 min!

Junior year, I got an apartment downtown and lived with my cousin and then golf teammate senior year. Loved that apartment and loved how convenient it was to walk right over to my classes and practice facility across the street!

Some of our friends and teammates had some pretty sweet apartments and rooftop patios!

I still cannot say enough great things about the business school at Cleveland State. The professors were absolutely incredible and we were given the opportunity to work on some pretty incredible projects!

You can’t forget the many trips to OSU to stay the weekend with my best friend! We always had so much fun!

Speaking of visiting other schools – Andrew went to school in Philadelphia and played football there. Fall was a super difficult time for both of us – with school and us both being in-season with sports! I did my best to make it out to some games and visit to break up our time apart from each other with the help of his family (my now in-laws!), my parents and megabus!

It was the best feeling getting to see each other in person after being apart for a month or two! Crazy how difficult it was to be apart, but grateful for it looking back! I couldn’t find many pictures from visiting, but it was always a blast hanging out with his friends and exploring campus/parts of downtown philly!

Here is Andrew after he stepped in to win the game in order to tie the spot for Ivy League champs! Their final game was to win the Ivy League Title outright which they did! It was a game we all will never forget – he played amazing! An awesome way to end his career.

And there you have it! Some pics from high school and college (at least what I could find quickly haha!) So funny to look back at these pictures now – some of my outfits, what was I thinking haha!

Wow that is a big high school… pretty sure we had about 400 students in our entire school! My husband and I went to 2 different high school too since he was at the local technical high school so we always went to multiple dances and formals as well. We both commuted our to college and by the time I was graduating with my undergrad degree we were already homeowners!
