June 2021 Garden Update

Happy Monday! I hope you had a beautiful weekend! Today I am sharing my garden update to show you what has been happening! Things are really heating up and taking off around here and it is getting me so excited for what’s to come!

Last month we were just getting ready to add on to the garden bed. Here is how it turned out!

We added soil and compost and all the amendments to the beds

Here’s a look at how it’s going!

Transplanted and direct seeded the sunflower patch!

Transplanted seedlings from trays out into the beds!

Continuing to plant gladiolus every couple weeks!

Dahlia tubers have been planted!

Look at a difference a month can make!

Filled in so much by June! Love looking at progression pics throughout the season. It is wild how much can take off in just a few weeks!

Perennial Salvia taking off! One of my favorite plants in my perennial bed! Make sure you remove all the spent flowers for continuous blooming and color all summer long!

Larkspur looking so pretty!

Sweet William blooming beautifully!

Yarrow, foxglove and spirea looking gorgeous!

Was able to put together a bunch of arrangements! I was not expecting to put things out until July!

Still sowing seeds…

Because I am doing a cut garden and not one for show, I need to have plants blooming at different times throughout the season in order to make sure there is ample supply. I will be direct sowing things from now until the 4th of July!
