Friday Fall Feature – Patterson Fun Fest

It’s FRIDAY and for the rest of the month of October I thought it would be fun to share a fall feature every Friday! Now, a lot of this is local – so if you are from the Cleveland/Northeast Ohio region, this is for you! Otherwise, feel free to enjoy some pictures of our day at Patterson Fun Fest!

Of course, I’m linking up with some of my favorite bloggers to share some Friday Favorites with you all!

Patterson Family Fun Fest

So if you’re local to Northeast Ohio, you’ve almost definitely heard the name Patterson’s. It is a six generation operating farm that specializes in produce – apples, strawberries, grapes, etc. Since their start, they’ve converted their properties into a mecca for fall fun!

The first location is their market. Here they sell apples, ciders, donuts, FRITTERS, fresh flowers, specialty jams, syrups and so much more! This location is one of my favorites!

Their Fritters are to DIE for!

We take the kiddos here A LOT and they are able to play on one of their AWESOME playgrounds or just go for a stroll in the park down below enjoying some absolutely STUNNING views!

They’ve carried the theme over at their Farm on Mulberry Road in Chesterland and have created an absolute fall HEAVEN for kiddos and families!

I am lucky to have the luxury to take the kiddos on the weekday – during the weekend it can get pretty crowded so being able to relax and enjoy the area without the stress of TONS of people is something I suggest you do!

You walk past their apple orchards and corn fields to get back to the activity area. The apple orchards are PYO which could make for another fun fall weekend activity (same with the corn maze! – no way I was doing that solo with 3 kiddos!)

There is an admission fee for the activity area. Kid’s 2 and under are free on the weekends, fees are a little higher but on the weekend we paid $12.00.

Normally they operate a tractor that will give you a ride back, but due to COVID they make you walk back on your own, but did provide some rides around the orchard with a limited amount of people to make up for that “loss”!

The playgrounds are home made designs using wood and other items around the farm to create a truly unique experience!

Block “O” race track! There is a pumpkin patch located behind this area where you could pick your own or take some pictures of your kiddos!

We bounced around from one structure/play zone to the next!

This structure was filled with corn kernels – the kids loved hanging out in here!

Down a hill in the woods there is a really neat playground to climb all over and some homemade slides that lie along the sloped hill!

What is great is that most of the structures are big enough for adults to go on – so if you have a little person like myself, you’re not able to worry about being on the playground by themselves. We even went down the slide together multiple times! Again, this is made easier by going during the week!

At this point I was EXHAUSTED from all the lifting of little T, so we headed back up to the hay zone so this momma could take a breather!

This area contains a WHOLE lot of hay bales where the kids can climb all over, run through tunnels and go down slides into piles of hay!

I realized JP wasn’t in many of these pictures! Probably because I could not get him to sit still! He was loving life! Huge sprint over to the tractor!

The kids finished up playing and now it was time to get home for lunch!

On weekends they have a kettle corn stand, funnel cakes, donuts, ciders and other festival type foods available for purchase. The only thing open was the barn, so I bribed the kiddos with some cider to take home!

And that’s a wrap! The kiddos were EXHAUSTED but the day was so beautiful and we had an absolute BLAST! If you are from the area – I highly recommend a visit to Patterson’s! Both locations are within 5 minutes of one another and you could either visit both in one day or break up the fun throughout the month for your family!

Hope you enjoy your weekend!!
