Day in the Life – Weekend Edition

Good morning and happy Thursday! I’ve been solo parenting this week and the weather has been gorgeous so getting around to blogging just didn’t happen!

As I always mention, these are my absolute favorite posts! I love looking back on these to see how things have changed/stayed the same/what was happening and I really love reading other bloggers DIL posts too (I’m nosy like that!).

Okay, let’s jump into a day in the life WEEKEND EDITION!

Good morning! We slept in quite a bit after a late Friday night!

I was the first one up (per usual!) so I headed downstairs to get a jump on some cleaning – we left the house a mess the night before!

This little love popped up with me!

JP celebrated his Valentine’s Party early so he had loads of goodies all over!

I tidied up, let Nellie out and started making my grocery list. I needed to get this done before Andrew was headed out of town. PLUS, we were having guests over!

I made my coffee then headed to start my daily reflection and Rosary. I have been LOVING the Hallow app so much!

About halfway through I heard some people start sliding down the stairs…

They joined me while I wrapped up the Rosary

Then this guy finally showed up to the party!

Andrew finally woke up and treated us to an egg in the hole toast breakfast!

YUM!

Next up, I did some laundry and checked on my seedlings!

After that, I called my Mom to check in! She was hosting us for the Superbowl and I wanted to make sure I knew what I was bringing!

The kiddos were dying to get outside and play, so out they went!

While they were out playing in the woods – Andrew and I were able to enjoy the last bits of our coffee and chat about some really important things! We are planners so it was nice to write things down and re-think some of our goals!

After quite a bit of exploring outside – they were back in, but needed to help Tommy get warmed up. He’d accidentally fallen into the big puddle pond out back!

Okay, time for me to shower and get ready for the day! Quite the slow moving day!

I got a jump on some laundry…

Then it was time for lunch!

After lunch it was off to the grocery store

Quick trip but ready for the night, super bowl and week ahead!

Got home and unloaded the groceries!

Then up to get Audrey ready for the Father Daughter Dance!

Hair was her idea and I Love how it turned out!

One more hair pic!

The beautiful couple was off and on their way! They were meeting friends prior to the dance for dinner!

After they left I spent time tidying up -one of the Moms was coming over for dinner with her son while the girls and the Dads were at the dance!

I captured no pictures during this time, but the boys had a great time playing and we enjoyed some wine while waiting for the girls and Dads to get home!

We ended up hanging a little longer when the guys got home!

Then it was bed!
