Happy Wednesday! It has been rainy and dreary weather over here the past couple days, plus were laying low, so I thought it would be nice to do a little “activity” with the kids! Baking is always something I love to do with them – it’s fun to be creative, yummy when we get to eat our sweet treats and definitely a hands-on activity (messy at times!).

Weekend Rewind: 10/20/20
This post was supposed to come at you yesterday, but after a weekend of celebrating JP’s 3rd Birthday THEN feeling fatigued and weak Sunday, which carried over into yesterday – it didn’t happen. Needless to say we have some sort of bug over here, but hoping all will be okay this week and our families too.
Continue readingFriday Favorites – 10.16.20
A happy Friday to you my friends! We are celebrating a 3rd Birthday over here today and as I’m always saying – where has the time GONE?! JP is our fun-loving, energetic, kind and at times wild little boy and we hope to make his day so so special!

We plan to take him out to lunch after we pick up sissy from her half day at Pre-K, have him open some gifts and then head to a local trunk-or-treat event to score some candy! We have some things to finalize for his party tomorrow which will definitely make for a crazy day, but totally worth it in the end! HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO OUR SWEET SWEET BOY!!
Continue readingThursday Thoughts: The Social Dilemma
My husband and I just watched The Social Dilemma documentary on Netflix and WOW, was that eye-opening! If you’ve been reading along for awhile, one thing I do not update on a regular basis like my blog here is my social media account. I will explain in more detail shortly, but I’m not a heavy user and honestly like it that way and will continue that way. Yes, social media is AWESOME for staying connected, finding information, learning new things, sharing deals, tips, tricks, etc., but it is also a very dark place at the core.
I don’t want to sit hear and sound like I don’t use Instagram at all – I most definitely use it, but one thing I’ve been conscience about since I started my blog over a year ago was how much do I plan to use it and for what purposes. Today’s Thursday Thoughts, I’m sharing what I got out of this documentary and I HIGHLY encourage you to give it a watch yourself. ESPECIALLY if you have young people!
moreLet’s Look: How We Pumpkin
Today I’m linking up with some favorite bloggers to share how we pumpkin around here! Fall is one of my favorite seasons and all the activities we have going on around here make it that much better!

It’s FRIDAY and for the rest of the month of October I thought it would be fun to share a fall feature every Friday! Now, a lot of this is local – so if you are from the Cleveland/Northeast Ohio region, this is for you! Otherwise, feel free to enjoy some pictures of our day at Patterson Fun Fest!
Continue readingWorld Sight Day 2020: Hope In Sight
Each year, World Sight Day is recognized on the second Thursday of October and the purpose is to raise awareness about blindness, vision impairments and a reminder of the importance of eye exams and screenings.
Today, I see it necessary to spread this awareness and encourage you to take eye health very seriously – in particular being that advocate for our children. This is something they need us for! As a parent, it is our obligation to make sure we are aware of the vision developmental milestones and are actively listening and advocating for our kids.
If you’ve been following along, our daughter was diagnosed with Optic Nerve Hypoplasia – along with esotropia, hyperopia (farsightedness) and strabismus – at the age of 5 months. She is now 5 years old and has had 2 eye alignment surgeries. I shared our diagnosis story last year and since publishing, have heard from many people sharing similar stories.
moreFav Fall Nail Colors
Today I’m sharing some of my favorite nail colors for fall! I’ve mentioned this so many times before, but I am obsessed with darker hues – especially in the fall! Here are some of my favorite fall nail polishes!
Continue readingOctober Coffee Stand Decor
Happy Tuesday! I was so shocked that it was time to already change out my September coffee stand decor! Today we are headed to a local orchard to enjoy the beautiful fall weather! In fact, it looks like it will be hanging around for a bit, which makes me SO happy!
As you know, and if you’ve been around here for a bit, I have so much fun changing up the decor on my coffee stand every month! Again, I like to inexpensively switch out this decor and subbing in seasonal vibes around a few standard pieces that are always there!! The Dollar Tree has AMAZING little items to help give you the vibe you are looking for!
Continue readingSix Years of Wedded Bliss!
This weekend, my husband and I celebrated our six year wedding anniversary! That seems wild that our wedding day was SIX years ago! Fast forward 3 kids, 2 homes and a whole lot in between, I want to thank my husband for being the most incredible man/partner in crime ever!
Today, I figured I would share 6 things we’ve learned these past 6 years of marriage! While we’ve known each other since grade school, there are still new things you discover as a couple and a parent.
moreWhat’s Up Wednesday [09.30.20]
Today, I’m doing another fun link up with Mix and Match Mama and Sheaffer Told Me To where we recap the month with a little this and that! I love these kind of posts – they also make me happy because someday, I can look back at these little “journal” excerpts showing a glimpse of our lives lately!

THIS.WEEK.FLEW!!! How is it Friday again?! Well, as always, sharing my favorites from this week! We are doing a garage sale at my house and that has been fun but also really exhausting!
Continue readingA Day in the Life – September
Today I’m sharing a day in the life post and this could not be a more random Wednesday to write about! Sharing what goes on around here in a given day for the most part – we are preparing for a garage sale this weekend, so I spent a decent amount of time getting some things done for that and also I cleaned our pool for nearly two hours, so that chewed up most of my day! Hope you enjoy reading along!
moreTip Jar Tuesday: Learning to Dress My Body Type
It’s Tip Jar Tuesday and today, I’m sharing something so obvious, but something I have learned to perfect. I cannot tell you the countless dollars I’ve spent on clothing that did not fit me right (whether too big or too small), did not flatter my figure, patterns that were way too over the top and styles I tried to duplicate because a celebrity wore it so “I can try to pull that off”.
Believe it or not, I feel like it has taken until the past couple years to accept the fact that I am SHORT! I’m 5’2 and I recall times where clothes I would try on with my average and above average height girlfriends, just weren’t the same on me! I needed to stop thinking there were other factors to perhaps why the outfit did not look as good on me – it’s simply because I was smaller!
moreWild “One” & Unicorn Birthday Party Recap!
Yesterday we officially celebrated Audrey and Tommy’s birthdays! Audrey has been requesting a unicorn party – so we tried our best to make that happen! For Tommy, we did a Wild “One” theme and I honestly kept it VERY simple and super cost effective!
I know I have mentioned before that I have hoarder tendencies when it comes to party decorations. I throw any decor that is clean and able to be stored into bins in the basement for future use. When it’s party time, I shop those bins to find things/take inventory that could be used for the party before heading out to buy anything new!

Happy Friday! We all survived the first week back at school! Our routine has been working out great, and honestly should have been something we were doing ALL. SUMMER. LONG! Who am I kidding, we loved the late nights and sleeping in, but having this structure has been really good for all of us!
As always, sharing my favorites from this week! We have Audrey and baby T’s birthday party this weekend and of course, I am not ready whatsoever, but it is going to be a small get together, so it won’t be anything too over the top anyway!
