Audrey’s Birthday Party : Let’s Glow Girls

Good morning, good afternoon, good day to you all no matter the time you’re reading! Today I wanted to share all about Audrey’s 8th birthday party!

We finally did our first friend birthday party this year and it was a blast! Audrey had the idea of doing a “glow in the dark” party in the middle of summer and I had no clue how we were going to pull that off! On vacation, my uncle told the kids he had a surprise for them and to meet down at the bonfire. Turns out he had a bunch of glow necklaces and some music and you’d think the kids won the lottery! They had the best time dancing and waving their glow sticks all around to the music!

After that fun little event, I told Audrey we were definitely doing that for her party and she agreed.

So that’s how the “Lets glow girls” party came about!

Party ready! We got most of the decorations, party bags and glow sticks from the Dollar Tree.

Audrey wanted to incorporate some tie dye elements and that was easy to do! We purchased this party set to get the look she was going for!

Gift bags were filled with these fun light up scrunchies , glow in the dark stars for their rooms and some light up rings!

We laid out all the glow stick packages – I had the bracelet and necklace types and all different colors for the girls to chose from!

The girls swam, ate and opened! We sang to the birthday girl and had cake as the sun started to disappear!

Then it was time to glow up! Each girl threw on their glow scrunchies, rings and decked out in their favorite color glow sticks!

Andrew and I turned out second garage into a dance party barn by hanging glow sticks from the rafters and setting up a party light to shine on the ceiling! Once they were ready we cracked all the glow sticks got the music going and surprised them with the dance barn!

Each girl got a song request and they danced the night away!

I got videos of this part, maybe I’ll learn how to add video to my site someday!

The girls had a blast hanging from tree swings, running around in the dark and just singing the night away!

And that was a wrap! These glow up pool balls added the perfect effect to the party!
