Weekend Rewind: Easter 2020 - Lisa's Two Cents

Well I meant to share this yesterday, but after waking from a food coma and having to share my laptop with my husband, here is a recap of our Easter weekend a day late! We made sure to make the most of our time at home, but missed seeing our families and attending mass!

Donuts, Drive and Outside Time

On Saturday, we were all up pretty early so we decided to head out in our jammies for a drive in the sunshine! I had some items for pick-up at our local hardware store so we were there right when they opened. After that we drove around and went to Dunkin Donuts to snag some donuts and coffees (as if the kids needed the sugar)

When we got home we did some yard work, weeding in the garden and found some worms!

Egg Coloring Contest

Though we missed doing this together with my husband’s family, we made the most of it at home! The kids really enjoyed the whole process and I would say my husband and I got into as well!

Easter Cookie Baking

We also decided to make some Easter cut-out sugar cookies.

These sugar cookies were SO GOOD! They didn’t spread/flatten and were the perfect consistency!

Topped with some colorful royal icing!

Easter Sunday

We had a very nice Easter Sunday! It wasn’t the same doing Mass at home, but it was nice to watch my Uncle’s service!

The kids woke up, came down and found all their baskets the Easter bunny hid.

Then we had a visit from my parents to drop off their baskets for the kids! We decided to get dressed! Here is a picture of me and mountain man – he’s letting his beard go during the quarantine!
