What’s Up Wednesday [01.26.22]

It’s the last Wednesday of the month, and that means I’m linking up with some of my favorite bloggers Mix & Match Mama and Sheaffer Told Me To to share what has been happening around here! These are my favorite posts – I LOVE seeing what others have going on and love that I can look back at these someday!

What We’re Eating This Week…

All the comfort foods! It’s been chilly around here recently, so we’ve been craving soups, chicken pot pie, chicken and dumplings all of it!

We’ve also been trying to bake more – doesn’t matter if its using premade cookie dough or boxed cake/brownie mix – we’ve been enjoying a ”homemade” dessert!

What I’m Reminiscing About

FLOWERS!

I’m missing flowers so much right now! I saw a couple people leaving the grocery store with mixed bouquets yesterday and I cannot tell you how much I miss playing around with flowers. So excited to see what this year has to offer!

What I’m Loving…

Winter Beauty

There really is something so beautiful about this time of year. Trying to embrace it more and more!

January Savings Challenge

You guys, this has been AMAZING for us! A perfect reset and also gives a better glimpse into some very useless spending habits.

I shared all about our budget and savings challenge here.

What We’ve Been Up To…

All the Activities

Swim class, sports class, daisy scouts, gymnastics and nature classes to name a few! We love doing all sorts of group activities during the winter months!

In the summer, I don’t like to have the kiddos tied down to too many commitments, especially given their age!

What I’m Dreading…

Nothing at the moment!

What I’m Working On…

Organizing/Purging/Donating

I’ve been going space by space doing organizing little by little. While it doesn’t feel like a whole lot is getting done – it is setting the foundation for a more organized life!

Garden Planning

I shared a little garden update – you can read about that here!

What I’m Excited About…

Tulip Season!

I am so excited to see how my tulips do this year! I planted almost 3000 tulips and plan to sell bouquets and pots to a local farm! anxious for them to start popping up!

What I’m Watching/Reading…

I just finished this finally! It was definitely a page turner!

FINALLY I get to start reading Shari Lapena’s book.

We also started season four of Cobra Kai – we could have binged hard core, so good!

What I’m Listening To

Christian music Radio

Ive been loving this! I’ve been playing this station anytime were in the car and my kiddos seem to be more relaxed and quiet on the way into school. Not sure if its because they don’t know the words to the songs or if there is the mention of Jesus, but it has been a nice before school prep!

What I’m Wearing…

Same old clothes!

FP Pullover

Its cozy season and we’ve been hibernating!

Cardigan // Tank // Heeled Boots
Shoes
High neck zip up

I have been perfecting my makeup routine and facial care routine. Can’t wait to share more on that!

What I’m Doing This Weekend…

Baptism of my Goddaughter

Oh, birthday trips are so fun! We had to cancel the one we had planned for my husband due to an unexpected health issue and I REALLY hope we can make it work soon. And I LOVE seeing all your flower pictures — it gives me so much joy and beauty in the midst of cold winter. Can’t wait to see pictures of your 3000 tulips! AAAAAHHHH!

I hope you can go on your trip soon! And thank you, I love looking back at those pictures too – I miss all that color!

I love Cobra Kai, we love watching it as a family but we haven’t had a chance to watch season 4 yet. Hopefully, we will soon. Good luck with your Tulips, it will be exciting to watch them grow.

I really liked Not a Happy Family, so I hope you enjoy it too! Also, I just watched The Karate Kid for the first time the other night, and I loved it. I need to watch Cobra Kai after I finish binging Ozark!

I’m excited to finally be reading it! I’ve never seen Karate Kid and still am enjoying Cobra Kai – would love to get back into Ozark maybe that will be next on our watch list!
