Feeding a Pool Party: My Go-To Aldi Finds

The weather from this past week has forced us into the pool and I’m not complaining about it! We had a fun little pool party this weekend and I was able to put together some yummy “snack-uterie” boards with some staple Aldi items we like to keep on hand. I told myself at the beginning of summer I wanted to make sure we have our pantry and fridge stocked with staple items we could easily bring out for guests!

I’ve fallen in love with Aldi. They have a wide variety of quality and tasty foods and I love trying so many new things! Their prices are incredible and I almost guarantee you’ll never return to overspending on your groceries ever again!

Here are some staple Aldi items we love to have on hand ALWAYS (especially during the summer months)!

This “snack-uterie” board (I made this word up, but I’m digging it!) was DELICIOUS! We all loved it – especially the kiddos and its a great way to put out all your snacks!

My Aldi Snack-uterie Board

Guacamole

I never checkout without these in my cart. They are delicious, so fresh and they have the perfect amount of spice.

Layered Dip

I always like to have this dip on hand! It is super YUM and perfect for guests

Hummus

Aldi hummus is very good, but I will admit my all time favorite is Tribe Hummus. This is my second place pick…

Of course forgot to snap a pic prior to digging in!

Cheese Assortment

Aldi has great prices on block cheeses! I kept it simple with these popular varieties, but Aldi carries SO many different types of fancy cheeses that I will have to test out some time soon for an adult only type get together.

Pepperoni

Our family loves snacking on pepperoni slices. I will normally give the kids a couple round butter crackers, pepperoni and some cheese slices for a snack. They were out of their regular pepperoni, but I have to say – the turkey pepperoni was not too bad!

Mini Peppers

I love these for salads and snacking. They are perfect to throw on your board whole or cut in half for dipping.

Mini Cucumbers

We’ve become obsessed with the mini cucumber bags. They are the perfect size – the kids love them. We generally leave the skin on – chop them up and throw in our salads or on a plate or in this case our snack-uterie board for easy snacking!

Tortilla Chips

Aldi has some great tortilla options, but we stuck with the classic this time around. You can find gluten free, yellow, blue, white bean and whole grain chip options as well!

Butter Round Crackers

These are great and comparable to Ritz. I always have these on hand for the kids

Cheese Crackers

Ok, these are SO GOOD…In my cart every visit – these crackers are phenomenal. Better than the name brand Cheez-its.

Chocolate Wafer Snack packs

I love these little chocolaty treats to hand to the kiddos for a sweet little snack.

Two-bite brownies

I’ve shared these before – they are SO GOOD and I always pick these up every time I see them! My mom said she put them in the freezer and they were phenomenal.

Chocolate Chip Cookies

I forgot to take a picture but these are ALWAYS stocked at our house. They are the perfect treat to offer guests after lunch/dinner. We love these cookies so much!

Aldi’s Bake Shop cookies in ALL Varieties are all so good. I don’t know why either because I am sure they aren’t special but I have never had a bad one. 🙂

Have you tried to dessert hummus yet? If so, do you have a favorite flavor?

Their cookies are an absolute favorite around our house! Ya know, I have not tried the dessert hummus but I am always intrigued! Is that something you’ve tried?! I would love recommendations! That would be so cool to dip fruits, cookies and even pretzels in a chocolaty hummus!

I love the chocolate hummus, they sometimes have some other flavors on special. When I get the chocolate or really any of the dessert hummus’ (sp?) I tend to buy their animal crackers, pretzel rods, and fruit to dip in it! Might sound like an interesting combo but it’s actually really good!
Let me know if you grab it and give it a try!
