Good morning and happy Wednesday! Today, I’m linking up with my some of my favorite bloggers, Mix and Match Mama and A Little Bit of Everything, to talk what I eat in a week!
So excited to read other posts from fellow link up bloggers today! I love getting different ideas from others!
Breaking down what I eat in a week
Well, going day by day would be a little crazy to write about, so I’m sharing what I would generally eat in a given day!
Breakfast
Breakfast is pretty much always the same every day. I will generally have two slices of wheat toast or
Apple cranberry oatmeal
…OR kodiak cakes with my mini waffle machine
followed by…
And a glass of water and lemon (if we have them!)
I make a coffee when I get home from drop off featuring my homemade creamer. As of 3 months ago, I stopped purchasing coffee creamers after reading about some harmful ingredients they contain
If I’m feeling a little under the weather, or want to switch things up a bit, I opt for this tea!
Mid-morning
I’ll usually snack on whatever the boys are having – whether it is pretzel rods or some fruit, I’ll enjoy something small too!
Lunch
My lunch usually consists of LEFTOVERS! My husband is not a big fan of leftovers but I love them! It’s all about balance!
If there are no leftovers, I love a nice salad
Or I’ll make some sort of grain/veg bowl with some protein!
Mid-Afternoon Pick-me up
At this point in time, I like to make one of my PB protein shakes. It is delicious and fills you up just the right away.
Or some veggies and hummus…
If I didn’t get around to my coffee in the morning, I really enjoy making a latte to perk me back up in the afternoon!
Cereal is also a snack I love…
…Along with greek yogurt and THIS granola!
Dinner
Dinner consists of a protein (usually lean: chicken, fish) a vegetable and a starch. We will rotate through different dishes and flavors. Some of our most favorite meals are soups and pasta dishes!
And there you have it! What I eat in a week!

After reading a lot of these link-ups I can tell i’m missing out on oatmeal and smoothies!! May have to try them out and see if they are something I can add to my daily diet 🙂
There were a lot of oatmeal and smoothies out there! I stick with my favorite two recipes (boring I know), but I love the taste of each!
OMG…all of your food pictures look so delicious! They’re making me hungry! I’m with you on the leftovers. What’s not to love? No cooking or dirtying up pots and pans. Just a quick zap in the microwave, and you have a meal!
Thanks, Gale! And right?! That is the best kind of meal!
I found your blog today through the Let’s Look link up and I’m so happy I did! I’ll be coming back to check more often.
Aww, thanks so much Lauren! Your blog is so great – love that I’ve found yours through the link ups as well!
Sounds yummy! I’m going to have to look for that granola. I love mixing up the kinds of granola I use on my fruit/yogurt bowls and yours sounds so tasty.
The kids have been obsessed with it – it truly is delicious!
I’ll have to see if I can find some of the herbal tea, especially the one with vitamin C. Thanks for sharing!
You’re so welcome! I hope you can find them – they were out of them at my local grocery store for awhile!
