Good morning and happy May! Excited to see what this month holds! Personally, I am looking forward to the trees blooming, warmer weather and the start of “summer” things!
Today, I’m linking up and sharing some Friday Favorites with you all!
Drive by Birthdays
We had two drive by birthdays this week and they were SO much fun! Audrey’s best friend from school was celebrating her 5th birthday! They were both so happy to see each other! The rest of the day, I feel like she was in a different mood – a way better mood. It was almost like a nice refresher for them to see each other!
The second drive by was for an older family friend. He had a massive car line with fire trucks, police cars, ambulances – it was a lot of fun!
Chocolaty Chip Mocha Cookies

What’s Up Wednesday – April Edition
Linking my What’s Up Wednesday post. These are just so fun and I’m extremely thankful to be able to link up with some other amazing blogs with this post!
May = Planting Month – Zone 6a
Today marks the beginning of my planting season outside! We are supposed to have amazing weather this weekend, but it might dip back into the 50s next week, so I will tread slowly.
Last weekend, I started some Zinnia seeds to get a jump start and they have already done their thing. Look at these seedlings – such cuties!
I also ordered some new varieties of cut flowers that I will be adding to my garden this year. Can’t wait to share!
I did make sure I took advantage of the spring blooms throughout the yard. They were nearing their last legs so I decided to cut them up and arrange them in a basket I purchased from Goodwill.
There weren’t a ton of options to choose from (greenery wise) so I had to get creative filling it in! I used some ivy, moss and boxwood trimmings.
A Picture from the archives…
This picture is just too good. Who would’ve thunk I’d find my hubby on my city basketball team (second row, far left!) Ha! I’m the girl on the bottom right – I look like one of the boys! At least one of us looks cute, HIM!!! Ohh my, this picture cracks me up every time I see it!
Quarantine Time Thoughts
Yesterday I penned a letter “Dear Quarantine Time“. Basically just some thoughts I’ve had over the past couple weeks and felt fitting to share.
Also, I’d seen a graphic on Instagram a couple weeks ago and forgot to screenshot it. It brought me to tears and was something I needed to change my perspective on this whole pandemic.
Since I could not find it for the life of me (I spent WAYYY too much time searching) – I created my own version so I could share it with you all – I think it’s worded slightly different, but still gets to the point. Grab a tissue…
Have a great weekend!
Those cookies look amazing! I love seeing all these photos of drive by birthdays; I don’t think that’s a thing here though as I haven’t seen or heard of any. Such cute ideas though.
My girls are grown and flown and your quote above sums it up perfectly. Enjoy these moments. My husband has an essential business- pest control- and works every day. the days are long but the years are short. Its all true!
Aww,thanks Kimberly! I try to soak it in everyday!
