I missed you all last week! Unfortunately, I was the final person to fall to the stomach flu and did not leave the couch ALL DAY. Thankful we are back to feeling great especially during one of the best weeks! Our weather has been a taste of summer and all I know is I’m going to be bummed to head back into 50-60 degree temps.
Of course, I’m linking up with some of my favorite bloggers to share some Friday Favorites with you all!
First off, hoping you and your family had a blessed Easter! We had a beautiful day celebrating the rising of our Lord and are so thankful for His sacrifice.
Favs from the week!
Lots of Outdoor Time!
Oh my gosh, such a tease our weather has been! We have been playing outside 24/7 and it makes my heart so happy!
Our new gymnast!
Bubbles for breakfast, why not?!
Grilling season is upon us – obsessed with my husband’s chicken marinade, ugh could eat this all the time!
We got a little rain last night and the kids decided to go exploring – they crack me up…
Welcome to the Family Poppy!
My in-laws got a new dog, Poppy, and she is the sweetest thing! The kids FINALLY got to meet her this week and were so in LOVE! She’s an English Lab and a total DOLL!
Clothing Favs!
I’ve shared these about 1000000 times now, but I love them! They are buttery soft and just look cuter than a plain ole sweatpant!
Okay these shoes are literally an absolute FAV of mine for the kids! They are a water shoe/tennis shoe, easy to get on and off and I don’t care if they get wet! Comes in a ton of colors!
The kids have been wearing them non-stop and love them! A little more than a sandal, but still gives you the breath-ability as the top part is mesh!
Masters Weekend!
As an avid golfer, this makes my heart so happy!
In the Garden this week…
Remember these Bachelor’s Buttons seedlings?!
Look at them now!!!
These got HUGE! Now, I’m going to share some fun garden plans over on my Instagram next week, so be sure to stay tuned! In the meantime, I need to get my compost ordered so I can start getting these babies into the ground.
For now, I transplanted into a bigger container and hoping they will hang tight for a little longer before going out into the yard!
Sharing my plans for this space on Instagram next week!
Daffodils
I never truly LOVED daffodils, but know I am loving them and plan to expand them throughout my yard next year. They are so tough and beautiful and have been providing the best color in my landscape for the past 2-3 weeks!
Tuber awakening
I know I shared this before, but you will remember last fall I dug up, cleaned off, and separated my Dahlia tubers – well every month while they are over wintered, I sift through the bin they are stored in and check to make sure there is no rot or super dehydrated tubers.
I did find some that were starting to shrivel and harden, so I removed them from the bin to start a little experiment. Hey, if I was going to lose them anyway, why not try this!
I soaked the tubers in lukewarm water for 24 hours.
Most of them bounced back, then potted them up in containers with the top part hanging out of the potting soil.
I’ve kept them in a nice warm place that sees some light and VOILA! Take a look at this!
The purple sprout there, that will grow to be a nice big Dahlia plant!
On the Blog…
I’ve shared this so many times, but these posts are my absolute favorite to read on other blogs! In case you missed that, you can check it out here!
It’s the beginning of the month and time to swap out my coffee stand decor! Love this bright and colorful spring look!
Linking up this adorable pom garland that I believe is on sale right now!
Thanks for reading! Hope you have a great weekend!

Oooh.. would you be willing to share your husband’s marinade? I love grilled chicken but I am always looking for new ways to flavor it since my boys don’t seem to love it nearly as much as I do. That puppy is SO CUTE!
