Happy Tuesday! Today I am sharing a very BASIC day in the life post. I LOOOOOVEEEE reading these posts on other blogs! We got off to a really late start with our day all because of THIS POST! Did you see it?! I’m hoping you did because it took a super long time, but I feel it is such a great checklist of baby registry essentials!
Anyway, without further ado – here was our Monday! Quick note: don’t let this fool you – our days are always filled with ups and downs. Kids get upset, I lose my patience – these days can be a lot but at the end of the day, I try to remind myself they are short lived. This day in particular we were really “far” behind a normal schedule so that didn’t help much!
I stayed up extremely late working on this blog post and woke up around 6:30 a.m. to finalize it
My alarm is normally for 5:30 a.m. but I skipped that!
T woke up around 8:00 a.m. So we head downstairs to get breakfast going. A waffle for him and toast for me! (Still finalizing my blog post at this point…ugh!)
I popped in a k-cup and head out to the flower garden real quick to take a look. We’ve had so much rain recently, it was nice to see some sunshine!
Returned back to find JP was awake now! Made him a waffle too!
Next little Miss ventured to the couch from her room around 8:50 a.m. She’s been sleeping in big time! Andrew had a golf outing so we said “bye, bye!”
Finalized a couple things and found a couple disasters happening.
Morning nap for T came pretty late – 11:20 a.m.
Came back down to tidy up a bit so the big kiddos and I could get moving outside and play!
Got the dishwasher going…
Then tackled this mess…
Much better!
On to sissy’s patching. You can tell she is thrilled! I find it is best to do it first thing in the morning around 8:30 a.m. – 9 a.m. It was noon at this point!
We went upstairs and changed out of our jammies! I had a hair appointment scheduled so I didn’t mess around with my hair.
This Old Navy Henley Hoodie is my favorite!!
I got this dress last year at our local drug store for $2.99!!
Time to head outside to play, but first quick snack!
The kiddos love this swing so much! We were on the swing for a pretty long time!
Little T was still sleeping – at this point it was 1:30… I set the kids up with Kinetic Sand and started making our lunches
Someone woke up just a couple short minutes later!
Time for LATE lunch!
Chicken fries from Aldi, peaches, cucumbers and ranch for the kiddos
Salad for me!
The kids played for a little bit while I cleaned up and knocked off my cleaning checklist chore. June and July were bad months in terms of keeping up. I always look forward to a fresh start to the month!
I made this CLEANING CHECKLIST for myself and try to follow as best I can!
Patch time COMPLETE! Two and a half hours!
Some storms rolled in so we hung out in the gazebo and played for quite a bit
UGH YUCK!!! All I want to do is head to the couch and nap with this weather!
At this point it was 3:20 and time for the boys to nap. I gave everyone a little treat at this point – JP always asks for an Oreo cookie before heading up to nap
I heated up some homemade peach crisp for myself – YUMMMM
First, set these two up with a TV show!
Bottle made – this guy up for EXTREMELY late nap 3:40…
Then this little dude!!
I normally lay in bed with JP and read a couple books, I fell asleep for about 10 minutes and could have slept A LOT longer!
At this point, hot tea sounded amazing – the temperature dropped quite a bit!
I let Audrey watch a little more TV while I read my Jesus Calling since this morning was a disaster
Then she came in and practiced writing her name while I checked off some other to-do’s
Next up Guess Who – she won!
And then a fort request!
We played house – then little T woke up! 5:35 p.m.
Followed by JP!
This guy got home just in time! 6 p.m.
I had to change into something a little warmer for my hair appointment
I walked over to my hair appointment (6:30) while Andrew and the kids went to the Mexican restaurant in the same plaza
I cannot wait to get my hair WASHED and cut – how excited do I look?! ha!
My trim was SUPER fast, so I met up with the gang
and enjoyed some chips, salsa and this yummy Enchiladas verde!
Then we headed home – played outside for a little while the neighbor came over to ride scooters with Audrey
Of course this little man is up to no good…
At this point the evening was a blur, but we always let the kids wind down with a TV show.
Little T was pooped and went down around 9 p.m.
Then it was time for the kids to head to bed 10:15 p.m.
And I was in bed around 11 p.m…
And that is a Day in the Life around here! Have a great week!
