September 2021 Garden Update

Happy Monday! My goodness is this month flying by! We’ve been finding our groove over here as we navigate full time school and having another kiddo in preschool part time. It really has been great and I can’t wait to share our routine with you. Today I’m sharing a little garden update. What a growing year it has been. Definitely learned a lot and already starting the process of planning for next year!

Annuals

I’ll take you around the different beds to show you what’s blooming!

The zinnias, cosmos, celosia and amaranth beds have taken off big time!

Amaranth and some sunnies planted in this bed!

Perennials

I want to add some more fall blooming perennials and evergreens to our front bed. That is my goal for next summer! For now we have one of my favorites, Autumn Joy Sedum.

We also have my my barberry bush keeping its burgundy color along with some purple asters!

Here are how my Firelights are looking super bright red/maroon!

So sad that everything is starting to fade out!

I do love my mums though – I overwintered half of these and they are doing great!

I plan to decorate the house for fall sometime in the next couple weeks and am excited to share our front porch filled with pumpkins and all things fall.

Bouquets

Here’s a look at some recent bouquets around here! September is always the best month! So much selection to chose from!
