Happy Friday!! Looking forward to a weekend of getting some things done outdoors!
Of course, I’m linking up with some of my favorite bloggers to share some Friday Favorites with you all!
Favs from the week!
Getaway to Philly!
My husband and I went to a wedding in Philadelphia this weekend and it was beautiful!
Stopped at Jim Thorpe to sleep the night before and drove the final hour in the morning….such a cute little town!
It was a black tie wedding and WOW was everything just perfection!
He looked SO handsome!
Such an amazing group of football buddies!
The bride was absolutely STUNNING – I mean can you even with this view!
Sneak Peak into Summer
We returned home to some gorgeous weather and the kids were dying for some water fun!
We went to church and ate lunch outside! Felt just like summer!
I decided to plant in my church clothes?
We met up for a cousin lunch! So much fun!
Fav Foodie of the week…
There is no other way to do dinner in the summer. Kids LOVED it and so did I – easy peasy!
Dinner boards for the win!
Salad bar…yes please!!! My husband’s air fryer chicken is incredible! Need to get the exact measurements to share the seasoning with you! I should call it, 8 minute chicken!
In the Garden this week…
Gearing up for a BIG week!
Making new beds, cutting sod, filling and tilling dirt and starting to plant! It appears to be frost free, so I can at least get most of our plants in the ground once the beds are done!
I already started planting my first wave of gladiolus bulbs
My helper was so into it!
These are the bulbs I overwintered. This is my second year doing so – so easy to do!
Split the bed into four equal parts. I want different blooming times for bouquets, so I picked a quadrant
Planted the bulbs 5″ deep
Covered back up with soil…
And wait patiently for these beauties! Don’t forget to mark it down in your garden journal!
I also nearly tripled my quantity of purchased Dahlia tubers by dividing them. So easy to do!
Requirements: Eye, Neck and tuber! Make a cut and split where you can!
On the Blog…
It’s Mother’s Day this weekend and Maternal Mental Wellness week so I felt it only fitting to share some things that were on my mind. It is so easy to be so hard on yourself. Just a reminder, DON’T.
