It’s the last Wednesday of the month, and that means- MY FAVORITE POST! I’m linking up with some of my favorite bloggers Mix & Match Mama and Sheaffer Told Me To to share what has been happening around here!
What an absolute roller coaster ride it has been this spring and summer. Spring and the end of the school year is always packed with all the events. Summer rolled in, and just like that it’s been BUSY!
Let’s jump into it as there is a lot to catch up on…
What We’re Eating This Week…
This week it’s been grilled chicken, taco night, and burger night. Andrew’s birthday is coming up, so we will most likely head out to eat somewhere fun!
I’m going to assign Audrey to making these homemade healthy granola bars this week! They are a personal fav!

It’s crazy how much the kids eat when they are home! I’ve been upping my lunch game and they seem to be enjoying it! I laugh because I look like a legit lunch lady most days of the week – serving up 6-10 kiddos at a time!
What I’m Reminiscing About
I was looking back for garden pictures and stumbled across these…it makes me so sad how time has seem to fly.

What I’m Loving…
We’ve been loving summer so far! The heat has been pretty rough this week, but I’m really trying to be fine with it. Winter and spring did me in this year and I’m perfectly fine with the heat!
It’s been constant pool days!!

And slow sleepy mornings when we can!

What We’ve Been Up To…
Well, since it’s been a while with an update – here’s what we’ve been up to…
First off, my sweet sister in law has been going through an incredibly hard time with a very serious and life altering health diagnosis. At the end of April, she was admitted into the hospital and later diagnosed with a grade 4 Glioblastoma. Her faith during this time is something I deeply admire. We are blessed with incredible friends and family, who have stepped in to help during their time of struggle. She has just begun her treatment of radiation and is handling it with so much grace, hope and trust in God. If you could please say prayers for her and my brother’s family, myself and my family would be so so appreciative.
If any of you have any insights/advice on this horrific cancer and any information regarding treatments that have worked/etc. please share. There is so much info out there, that it can get overwhelming. She is trying to handle treatment as natural as possible and she has completely changed her diet, removed unnecessary toxins from their house and made big modifications in just about anything you can think of. She has been meeting with a functional medicine doctor and has been following a vitamin and supplement routine.
Her sister-in-law has set up a Go Fund Me to help offset some of the costs associated with her not working (not returning in the foreseeable future) and all the expenses of healthy groceries, natural products, vitamins, all the things. I will share the link below should you want to read more, offer prayers and any type of support! We are praying hard for you, Stef!

We have been helping watch their 3 kiddos during this time and the kids/cousins have been all playing, swimming, all the things!

We had VBS that myself (volunteered) and the kids attended for a week, last week, the 5 year old boy cousins graduated from Safety Town!

We’ve had baseball games, which are coming to an end sadly, the boys have really enjoyed it this season!

This picture cracks me up…

We’ve been doing all the summer normal things!
Ice cream…

Strawberry picking…

We attended the most beautiful family wedding!

…and another one – the most gorgeous venues!

We finished up school, all the end of the year events and had a ceremony bridging Audrey to a Junior Girl Scout!

We had a charity walk that the kids made the most of – winter hats at the end of May – that’s Cleveland…

Hair cuts, fishing trips, drive-in movies, sleepovers, smore’s, festivals and everything in between!

What I’m Dreading…
I love July, but I want summer to slow down a bit! I don’t want the 4th of July to just fly on by!
What I’m Working On…
I’m very late getting flowers in the ground, but that’s just the season of life right now! I’ve been enjoying some of the few flowers I do have, and nurturing a new veggie garden the kids planted!

I’ve linked up with a local bakery in town to provide blooms on their tables – we also had a really fun collaboration for Mother’s Day!

I had a sweet Mother’s Day myself!

Spring flowers were fun!

I also was able to do my cousin’s rehearsal dinner flowers!

It’s been a pretty busy time in the flower world!
I would like to start digitally storing the kids artwork and memories from the year. I’ve wanted to do this the past 2 summers, so maybe this one is it? ha!
What I’m Excited About…
I’m excited for the 4th of July – for some of the camps to end so we can have a summer slow down! We had some sort of camp the first 3 weeks of summer – it was a little crazy! Looking forward to more of this – exploring and memories being made.

What I’m Watching/Reading…
Nothing, per usual. Someday, I will relax. I love this though…
What I’m Listening To
The birds chirping – it’s just the best.
What I’m Wearing…
I have so much to share, but I need to actually try it on to share with you!
I legit LIVE in these sweatpants around the house! They are SO COMFY and just the perfect fit!

What I’m Doing This Weekend…
Celebrating our favorite guy! It’s his birthday!
What I’m Looking Forward To Next Month…
More flowers and time spent with the kids completing our summer bucket list!
What Else is New??
I think I caught you up!
Favorite Amazon Purchase this Month….
I love these shorts! I’ve been looking for a pair that are not too short and are flattering. These are beyond comfy!

That’s all for today! As always, thanks for reading and Happy Wednesday!

I am so sorry to read about your sister in law’s diagnosis; your whole family will be in my thoughts and prayers. It sounds like your family has been cramming all the summer fun in and making the most of each day.
