Good morning – happy Thursday! I am so excited because today we receive our new mattress! I can’t wait to get some good sleep, FINALLY! It’s been almost two months that we’ve been sleeping on a foam mattress (which is crap and a story for another day!), so we are ready!
I’m a little behind on my garden updates so I figured I would share an August & September update with you today! I’ve loved doing these every year and it is so cool to look back on previous years and just a month ago to see how much has grown, changed, etc.
I’m not going to lie. My garden is not pretty this year. I couldn’t keep up with the weeds and did a poor job watering. My business still is doing great, but there are so many things I learn each growing year that will help me big time in the following growing season! August is a great time in the garden! September is when most of my cut flowers are taking off – zinnias & dahlias.
Let’s take a look at the growth this year and look at August and September. I didn’t get a ton of pictures in August because we were so busy and I forgot! I remembered to take a couple snapshots though!

Next up, our FRONT bed near the road that I packed with plants! It’s one of my favorite spots and I fill it with tons of perennials most of which can be used for cut flower production too! We finally got rid of the nasty dead pine that was front and center of the bed!

I need to share this garden as it’s one of my favorite spots!
Last but not least, sharing some of the pretty flowers that have been blooming around here!
And that’s a look at what’s been happening in the garden these past couple months! Crazy that next month the flowers will be cut back and we will prep beds for spring bulbs and planting next season! Happy flowers!
