Day in the Life – December ’22

Happy, happy Thursday! Sharing a day in the life of us from last week!

As I always mention, these are my absolute favorite posts! I love looking back on these to see how things have changed/stayed the same/what was happening and I really love reading other bloggers DIL posts too (I’m nosy like that!).

Okay, let’s jump into our day in the life!

Good morning! Audrey had a yearly eye exam this particular morning so we all slept in a bit!

I definitely punched snooze a couple times!

Down for dog duty!

Snagged myself a cookie. I was testing dough for an upcoming cookie bake.

JP does not have preschool Monday or Tuesday so him and Audrey were up and atom – I threw on a show while I got ready

Time for makeup and hair…

Was able to get my rosary in while getting ready!

Okay, hair and face touched up! Much better!

Loaded up in the car and on the road to the appointment

Always a fav – watching a movie while in the waiting room!

Successful appointment – so very grateful!

Dropped sissy at school and then heading home with the two nut jobs!

Always greeted with LOVE!

Enjoying another cookie! Love this top so comfortable!

Time to do some chores – I let the boys play in the front room and will normally call my Mom at this point to check in!

Emptied the dishwasher…

Tackled the sink…

Watered the plants…

Had to make the little guys bed!

Time to make lunch!

Leftovers for me and sandwiches for the boys!

After lunch it was back to the front room to see what the boys built!

They love showing me their construction site!

Next it was time to pick out a book for nap!

The book of choice of course!!

Ready for nap!

The boys are napping and now to get some things done. I made myself a afternoon latte since I skipped coffee in the morning!

I tidied up so Eufy could run

This girl wasn’t having it – she refuses to lay down until I am sitting. I love that she follows me around, but feel so bad because I don’t stop!

Now onto some computer work! Worked on a save the date and girls gift guide!

I finally sat down for good – took her a minute to trust me!

Wrapped that up and did some Christmas shopping updates – was trying to make sure I had everyone accounted for.

Before you know it, sissy was getting home from school!

Back in the house for homework and snack especially while the boys were still sleeping!

Audrey is into pen paling right now, so I wrote up her note so she could copy.

It took her a bit to do, in the meantime I enjoyed the view outside and stocked her stationary bin with some goodies we found at the Dollar Tree!

She finally finished her notes and this guy was awake!

I got his snack together then threw in some laundry!

Next up, mopping the floors. Have I mentioned this before? (Pretty sure I have because I’m obsessed!) This mop is just amazing!

So easy! All clean! Checked it off the list!

Next up – dinner prep. On the menu, Lemon butter chicken! I will be posting the recipe tomorrow so be sure to stop back and check it out!

Dinner is served! YUM!

Blowing out advent candles is the job everyone wants to do!

We tidied up the dinner table and some how I got hustled into making this sugar cookie kit…

JP had been asking me all day! Why not!

Note: these cookies were only consumed by our family! No way would I ship these off after the lack of sanitary measures.

The sweater cookies turned out pretty good! Time to decorate, which is the part they were super pumped for!

I decided to jump in on the action!

This kit was super fun! We got it from Aldi!

Okay, kiddos finished up then headed to get jammies on and pop in bed!

I tidied up the downstairs for the evening! Then up to bed!

I hopped into bed and checked Christmas and flower related stuff again – then it was off to bed! Late night!
