Let’s Look: Winter Wardrobe

Today, I’m linking up with some of my favorite blogs to share a look inside my winter wardrobe! What’s funny is I find myself making sure I utilize the same staple pieces – year after year. One thing to note, I love keeping it comfy and casual about 99% of the time.

Without further ado, here’s a look at some basic staple pieces that make up my WINTER WARDROBE!

As I mentioned I really work around some basic staple pieces in my closet. Being from Cleveland, warmth is key. You’ll most likely find me all winter long wearing yoga pants or skinny jeans paired with a comfy sweatshirt, hoodie, sweater or layering and a cardigan.

Coats

I have an obsession with dressy/unique coats. They can turn any outfit dressy and sophisticated with ease. You’ll find me rotating through my jackets weekly particularly for Sunday Mass.

What if I told you, this poncho is nearly 10 years old?! I got it from TJ Maxx years ago and I’m not lying when I say I receive at least one compliment on it every time I’m out wearing it!

Boots

Tall suede heeled boots are my jam – it is nice to have an assortment in your arsenal, especially being on the shorter side! ! I have a pair of dark brown (can’t find the link, but you can see them in my pictures below) and a light beige neutral pair. I got them at Target a couple years ago.

I also love wearing a pair of black chunky-heeled booties. I absolutely love pairing these with my wide-legged flare jeans. Linked here

I’m 5’2 and I love how big platform heels/booties can help elongate my short legs – especially in flare jeans!

Jeans/Leggings

There are 5 staple jeans/Leggings I MUST have in my closet. A pair of skinnies, flare/bootlegs, distressed jeans, black jeggings and leggings.

I am obsessed with these jeans from Old Navy and just purchased a back-up pair. I’m 5’2, they fit perfectly and I love the dark wash and frayed hem.

As far as distressed jeans I have these affordable options!

Sweaters/Cardigans/Vests

A must for staying cozy around the house. I also love pairing a simple t-shirt and a cardigan/sweater or a long sleeve thermal with my favorite vest.

Wearing the Old Navy Rockstar Jeans

I got this sweater from Marshall’s years ago and tried my best to find something similar below:

Going Out

I love having this plain black v neck sweater. It’s long enough to cover your bottom, lightweight and very flattering! I happened to snag this in store for $5. Simple and perfect for a night out!

This faux suede moto biker jacket is the best thing ever! Comfy, not too bulky – just perfect!

An off the shoulder over-sized sweater – YES, PLEASE!

The leggings here are technically workout leggings, but you would never know! They give the spanx/scuba look! They are so smooth and comfortable! Paired with these over the knee wedge boots – major disguise!

Obsessed with the multi-layered sweater look. This is sold-out at Kohl’s – still linking it so you can see!

These black jeggings are THE BEST and so cheap!

I’m obsessed with wearing dark shades all winter long, but like to brighten it with burgundy! I love this color!

Comfy Clothes

These high-waisted leggings are AMAZING! I love them so much!

Black jeggings here again!

I love cowl-neck sweaters – they are just so flattering in my opinion! I got this of course from TJ Maxx and there is no link – but some similar looks below!

My husband bought me this Calvin Klein vest and it is my favorite! I dress it up, dress it down – it is not too bulky and can be worn under your big winter coat!

I couldn’t find the link because it was from a couple years ago – but a similar one here.

I love these casual lace up boots – nice they don’t have a heel

I had to jump on the Sherpa bandwagon, but they just looked WAY too big and bulky on me! I opted for these in the Junior’s section at Walmart. They were super inexpensive and I liked how they fit. I normally wear a Small and I went with a size XL in the Junior’s for a comfy fit!

Last but not least, I’m obsessed with this pajama shirt – all.winter.long. It’s fleece, it’s long, it’s SO COZY!

I got it from the Jockey outlet a year ago! I couldn’t find it in stock anymore, but similar options below!

A random assortment of clothes – but a lot of pieces that can be dressed up or down! Hope you enjoyed taking a look into my closet!
