This post has been a long time coming. We finally got my son’s bedroom “pretty much” completed. I say that because I am still searching for the perfect nightstand and table lamp. I do like exploring garage sales and flea market sales for those items, but given the uncertainty of the virus – I’m not sure how much garage-saling I will be doing this year. Nevertheless, I wanted to show you how his “industrial style airplane” room came together!

Of course I’m crazy and made my own inspiration board to see how all the pieces I found would look together…

Initially, this took me a long time to get together – I would piece together different snippets I found online and was trying my best to judge what colors would look best together.

Airplane theme

I kinda, maybe, sorta, decided this was the theme we were going with without even asking my son…but it helped that he LOVES Airplane! I basically told him, “Are you excited for your big boy airplane room?!”, and he was pumped! Our backyard is pretty wide open and we have airplanes flying over all the time. Every time he hears the engine noise, he will stop whatever he is doing – look up at the sky, try to find the plane and point it out to me!

I have been loving the industrial iron and wood look and I felt the vintage airplane theme would go hand in hand!
