Today I’m linking up with some of my favorite bloggers Erika and Shay, to look at our holiday menu! I LOVE Thanksgiving food – even better – all the leftovers! It’s almost better the day after!
Turkey
This is obvious, but I know there are some people out there that are ham lovers (aka my husband). I’ve yet to cook the bird for family, but one thing my mom does every year is whip up some homemade turkey noodle soup with the remaining turkey fats/juices (the jelly looking stuff) in the cooking pan and it is just divine!!
Stuffing
My Grandma’s stuffing recipe is my absolute favorite:
Celery, onions, butter, Pepperidge Farm unseasoned stuffing cubes and raisins. Best when it absorbs all the juices! Yum!
Mashed Potatoes
A total must have! I love the homemade kind, but if you’re looking to cut corners, Bob Evans Mashed Potatoes are INCREDIBLE!
Corn Pudding
I love corn pudding so much and what I love even better – how simple it is to throw together.
Green bean casserole
Speaking of easy peasy dishes to make – I’ve been making this green bean casserole forever (check it out in my recipes highlights on Instagram) and no joke it takes all of 20 minutes to make.
Roasted Vegetables
These roasted vegetables are the perfect Thanksgiving side dish – sweet potatoes, yukon potatoes, red peppers, butternut squash (not necessary) and red onions marinated in balsamic, olive oil and some seasonings.
The best part about these veggies, we love using the leftovers the next morning to make this recipe below!
For Dessert
Of course pumpkin pie and always some sort of chocolate – i.e. brownies, death by chocolate, oreo pudding dessert.
Have a great day everyone!

Those roasted vegetables look delicious and I am going to try those this year!
Thanks Marilyn! I LOVE these veggies and all their colors go perfectly with a Thanksgiving tablescape!
I requested some sort of chocolate dessert this year as it always seems to be missing from our Thanksgiving menu (unless I make chocolate chip pecan pie). I like apple pie but give me chocolatey goodness and I’m a happy camper.
I’m a chocoholic and there NEEDS to be some sort of chocolate!
