Friday Favorites 02.21.20

Today, I’m linking up and sharing some Friday Favorites with you all!

Linking up with Andrea and Erika

This week is a random assortment of favorites!

1 month until VACATION

I am so so excited and cannot wait for our beach vacation next month. I have vivid memories of the time we had last year and what I also loved is that warmer weather is to come shortly after we return home. It makes the last months of cold weather a little more manageable once you get some Vitamin Sea. I come home feeling refreshed!

McMillion$ Documentary

A friend of my husband recommend we watch this…guys, this is so good. I love a good mystery and honestly wish I was in the FBI. Produced by Marc Walhberg, this documentary series (on HBO) is about some rigging that happened behind the scenes of the McDonald’s monopoly game and how the winners happened to all be connected… SO. INTERESTING. SO.GOOD!!! We binge watched last night and are all caught up.

Speaking of being all caught up, I am so impatient waiting for the next episode – I want to know now! Next episode is Monday at 10 pm est.

DIY Invite Photoshoot

I haven’t mentioned this before, but I do wedding invitations on the side. This first started as a hobby (doing my own wedding invitation) and has turned into doing family, friends and now have been given many referrals!

My sample work PDF that I would send to potential clients looked TERRIBLE and something needed to be done. So I spent a couple hours staging my own photoshoot! To say I had fun doing this is an understatement! Here are some of the shots I took. I used things from around the house to assist in the shoot!

I LOVE doing invitations and LOVE saving people money! It allows me to continue to be creative and manage my own “business” – fulfilling that aspect of my life while being able to stay at home!

Infant Daily Routine

I shared my son’s daily routine this week. He is 6 months old and we have finally fallen into a pattern. I should have started doing this wayyyy sooner, but juggling the other two kiddos plus caring for baby T’s needs made it a little difficult.

Prior to being a stay at home Mom, I was OBSESSED looking into how other SAHMs go about their days – in fact, I still love it! It helped me make that transition and know what to expect, so I figured I would share this with all of you because it truly works. Understanding your baby’s sleep and awake cycle is huge. You can read all about our routine here!

SUNSHINE & BLUE SKIES!

We have been enjoying the sunshine around here lately! I love that it is staying light later and love when the sun is up earlier in the morning. We thought we overslept and missed our daughter’s preschool drop off the other day because it looked so “late” outside! Summer sunshine in the early morning gives me LIFE – can’t wait for that time again!

Anyone else a weirdo like me and take pics of their yard all the time?

Though it has been pretty cold to go outside and enjoy it, we have been “laying” out in the beams that shine in our living room! Totally looking forward to a beautiful weekend of weather!

Costco Membership

We were gifted a Costco membership by my brother and sister-in-law (great gift idea!) and we decided to go in on a Sunday afternoon.

First off, that is never happening AGAIN, ha! It was SO BUSY and we could not leisurely browse!

Second, I need your help – are there staple items I should be getting every visit? What’s good?

So far, I love their fruit and the fruit prices seem really good (comparatively speaking). I purchased these pre-cooked grilled chicken strips and am OBSESSED! Perfect in a salad, wrap or just on a plate shredded for the kiddos!

Thrifty Find of the Week

This week, I stopped into Goodwill to kill some time before preschool pick up. I love thrift stores for their decor mostly. I will pick up cute/unique vases to keep in my stash in prep for my garden come summer!

Anyway, in the window I spotted thee cutest striped bag – I thought it was most definitely a diaper bag, but I think it is a beach bag? Well, this “beach bag” has turned to diaper bag and I’m obsessed – brand new, and just $10! I had been eyeing book bag style diaper bags for a while but couldn’t justify spending the cash when ours was perfectly fine.

Now, when we don’t need to carry around a diaper bag, I will turn this into our vacation/beach/pool bag!
