Good morning and Happy Wednesday! Today’s post is part of my “What/how I’m _____ …Wednesday” series. Last week we saw a recipe for these and could not wait to try them. My kids LOVE cake pops, so anything we can recreate, we’re game for!
What I love, is these can be customized in so many ways! We decided to make some Valentine’s cake pops! Giving props to the initial recipe found here!
Here’s what’s needed!
- 1 13.5 oz package of Lofthouse cookies
- 1 8oz package of cream cheese (softened)
- White chocolate or white almond bark (we used white chocolate)
- Lollipop sticks
- Sprinkles
Here’s how easy they are!
Cookies and cream cheese into the stand mixer
Mix until well combined
Next up, use a cookie scoop to form tiny balls of cake! Place on a cookie sheet lined with wax or parchment paper
Next melt some of the chocolate (not much) and dip the lollipop stick in the chocolate then insert into the cake pop – we skipped this step and had some issues with cake pops coming off the sticks when we were dipping into our white chocolate
After this step, refrigerate for an hour or more before coating with the white chocolate.
Then melt your chocolate and it’s time to coat!
Before the chocolate hardens, coat with your favorite sprinkles
Then place in a zip lock or resealable container and store in fridge! We’ve been enjoying these treats all week long! Hope you give them a try too!
