What We’re Eating This Week…

White chicken chili leftover from JP’s birthday party, yesterday was a family staple around here, pork tenderloin, mashed potatoes and Caesar salad, sausage tortellini soup, some breakfast for dinner and lastly this weekend – headed out to meet a girlfriend at a new restaurant – Jaja Cleveland!

What I’m Reminiscing About

The beginning of the growing season. It does seem like so long ago and how nervous I was to launch my subscription bouquet service!
I’m so happy I jumped in – what an amazing year it was!

What I’m Loving…

All the fall vibes.

Yesterday I took the kiddos to the park to walk the dog and play on the playground – the sights and smells are just my favorite! The trees are peak perfection right now and I’m trying to soak in as much beauty as I can!

Home Winterizing Checklist

This is the time of year where we start buttoning up all the outdoor things and get our house prepped for hibernation mode.

Pool closed – check.

Garage organized – check.

Windows washed – check.

Garden bed clean up – procrastinating.

We’ve also been busy with so many events and birthday parties! Never a dull around here!

What I’m Dreading…

Cold weather…

We had a winter teaser last week and I’m not looking forward to having to bundle up and freeze every time we leave the house!

What I’m Working On…

Selling my car

I mentioned before, I am selling my car after owning it for 7 years (#teambuyusedcars here) – I plan to sell it private party so I want to clean up some areas that were looking old and icky!

There was a rust spot that formed from all the winter road salt and I just couldn’t sell the car that way so I decided to fix the spot myself after receiving a $5k quote…

I am so pleased with how it turned out!

What I’m Excited About…

Getting rid of the car above! We just purchased a gas hybrid car and my husband and I are excited to see how much money we will be saving on gas! The car does not need to be plugged in, which is the BEST! So far 40 mpg is what he gets!

Weird thing to be excited about, but that’s the times were living in.

What I’m Watching/Reading…

My mother-in-law gave me this book about a year ago – Excited to FINALLY get back to reading!

I‘m also getting ready to purge my closet. I love to donate half and sell others on my Poshmark page!

What I’m Doing This Weekend…

We are hosting a cousin sleepover (so excited!) and as mentioned above I am getting together with a girlfriend at a new cool restaurant! I also hope to take advantage of the great weather and knock some garden chores out of the way! I have nearly 3,000 tulip bulbs to plant!

Were also doing all the Halloween prep! Can’t wait for the big day next week – the kiddos are super pumped! You can check out how we do Halloween here!

What I’m Looking Forward To Next Month…

We have a wedding out of town and a gala event which has me excited to get dressed up! I also cannot believe Thanksgiving is just around the corner!

What Else is New??

Nothing else. Just trying to figure out how to do Christmas this year. Kids toys can be a bit too much sometimes – especially when you’re trying to declutter your life.
