It’s the last Wednesday of the month, and that means I’m linking up with some of my favorite bloggers Mix & Match Mama and Sheaffer Told Me To to share what has been happening around here! These are my favorite posts – I LOVE seeing what others have going on and love that I can look back at these someday!
What We’re Eating This Week…
We celebrated Tommy’s birthday and I LOVE to serve this easy semi-homemade dessert!
We had one of our favorite local restaurants to-go twice this week! Hummus chicken plate is my favorite!
My favorite easy chicken parm tenders!
What I’m Reminiscing About
The freedom I had to take all three kiddos wherever, whenever I wanted. School starting has taken me on an emotional roller coaster ride. Back in May, I was an absolute mess on Audrey’s last day of preschool and the past three days have been really hard on me. I think it is the reality that school is now a HUGE commitment for the next 16 years. I know there are summers to look forward to, but time just flies.
Summer fun!
I’m gunna miss summer SO MUCH, but we really had a great one!
What I’m Loving…
Today was supposed to be the first day of Kinder for Audrey. Enjoying A BONUS DAY of summer today! I am loving this new chapter for Audrey though. Even though my heart is sad and I am going to miss her – she is so so ready for Kinder!
What We’ve Been Up To…
School Prep
Getting ready for school – all the meetings, supply and uniform shopping – it has been fun to do and see the excitement Audrey has!
I’m also really excited for JP to start school too!
Reorganizing our life.
I shared some tips on how we’re doing this! The start of school serves as a blank slate. I need to be more organized and need the house to be in a place that is less cluttered! I also shared some awesome Dollar Tree products that I am using to be more organized! It also includes one of my favorite tips re: greeting cards!
What I’m Dreading…
Today was supposed to be the first day of Kinder, but they cancelled it due to heat. I have been crying on and off the past two days and I don’t know how I’m supposed to make it another day haha!
What I’m Working On…
Building Bouquets
I am making bouquets to share and sell at a local farmers market! Excited to have the opportunity and hope it works out for both of us! Very convenient location and a great opportunity as they provide pick your own apples and are very busy in the fall!
What I’m Excited About…
Routine
While I’m upset about the big changes around here, I am excited to fall into some sort of routine again! The last week of summer we adjusted bed times and I created a morning routine that I will plan to share later on because I am hoping it works, ha! Excited for this little Target Dollarspot find!
There are so many projects I put on hold around the house that I can put attention to. I am also excited to spend more time with the younger two.
What I’m Watching/Reading…
Still…The Guest List – I had started this a while ago and never got to finishing it!
Needing a beach read – wanting to start this one…
What I’m Listening To
The kids playing together. Their innocence and happiness makes my heart so happy and sad at the same time. I am going to miss this so much during the school year. The days will be a little quieter…
What I’m Wearing…
It has been SO HOT so basically in shorts and a swimsuit all day. I do LOVE this romper though!
Getting excited for some new fall pieces! Walmart has some really cute things right now!
Obsessed with this peplum tank!
How cute are these woven slides?!
Dress them up…or dress them down with jeans and a tank!
This sweater tank from last year has been a favorite from my closet again!
On a cooler day, you could swap out to this tee!
Then switch it up a little more with these boots!
On the fence about this jacket…Can’t decide if I like it or not!
This outfit will be my go-to GUARANTEED!
Loving this flutter sleeve tee – super lightweight and comfortable!
What I’m Doing This Weekend…
We have a baby shower for my cousin this weekend and hopefully enjoy some more summer weather! I also need to prepare for a birthday party at our house!
What I’m Looking Forward To Next Month…
Fall things!
I will say – September is one of my favorite months. It is such a bittersweet time of year. So much change, but beautiful changes! I love heading to different parks, doing all the fall things and decorating the house!
What Else is New??
That’s about it! Hold your babies tight and say some prayers for me today and tomorrow!

She is so cute in her glasses!
Those little purple glasses are just my favorite!
The flowers are gorgeous. I live in Pa. but not close enough to buy
You can do it! Good luck tomorrow! Your bouquets are so pretty! Have a great week!
Thanks Sarah!
Aw, sending you some extra prayers this week. Hope the school year goes well. I too struggle this time of year missing all the extra freedoms that having no school to report to means for us.
Thanks Joanne! We made it through and I’m sure it was those extra prayers that helped!
