Hi everyone, I’m Lisa, a late twenty-something from the Midwest, a wife to my grade school sweetheart, mom of two toddlers (ages 4 and 2) and a soon to be newborn! I quit my marketing job after the birth of my son nearly two years ago which has allowed me to see both sides of the coin of being in the professional workplace and now being at home with my kids. Neither are easy, but both are rewarding and I want to share my love of what I do as a stay at home Mom, how-to’s in terms of tips, tricks and insights in the realms of faith, family and home life, budgeting, food and recreating expensive looks for less.
I also started an invitation business that I operate part time from my home! What once started as a hobby for my own wedding has turned into an amazing opportunity and a chance to meet new people, reconnect with others and express creativity all while saving the bride and groom money on one of the essentials of their big day! I am so happy I took the time in college to complete a minor in multimedia advertising as it allowed me to learn more about the design/creative world, which I have always had a passion for!
Starting at a young age, I used to write journal posts about what I did EVERY.SINGLE.DAY. I am pretty excited to in a sense be doing that again—that brought me so much joy and I am so super excited to finally get this thing rolling after having the idea 4 years ago! I am hoping it brings you happiness but I also hope it is a great resource to you in whatever way you may need!
My husband and I have learned a lot in the past 5 years and I hope to share some of those insights with you. Getting married a little younger, our life moved pretty quickly from college grad, working professional, newly wed to straight up parent and adult! Blessed with amazing kiddos and recently moving to our forever home out in the “country” – oh yes well water, septic and a several more acres to take care of – we are learning every single day how to manage and navigate life with each adventure and obstacle thrown our way!
I hope you enjoy my blog and are able to gain some useful insights. Prior to staying home with my kids, I was reading what other SAHM’s were doing to make sure I was prepared – there are things you cannot plan for, but definitely ways to help make your life easier! I’m hoping to share my ideas and routines with you just as others gave me inspiration!
I look forward to having conversations and learning more from each other! I cannot wait to see where this leads. To start, I plan to blog 3 out of 5 days a week, especially with a newborn coming late August/September! Please feel free to contact me at lisastwocents@gmail.com! Talk soon!
