September 2022 Garden Tour

Good morning! Today, I’m sharing a tour of my garden for September. As I sit and write this – I’m starting to get bummed the flower season is dwindling. I can’t get out and cut super early in the mornings anymore (because it’s dark) and growth/ production slows a bit when the temps start dropping. I do keep reminding myself – there is still a solid month of flowers left, but wow what a fun growing season it was!

Let me show you around the garden!

So much has growth has happened (including weeds!) this season!

Here’s a look at how it’s going!

The colors and production is just amazing this time of year – the dahlias keep churning out blooms and same with the zinnias.

This girly follows me all around the garden and I love it!

The pool area has transformed alot!

Here it was back in the beginning of the summer…

The perennial bed is blooming with sedum and asters and the ornamental grasses are starting to look fall like. I didn’t get to weed this area much and it doesn’t look the best.

My goal is to pack this bed with plants so it doesn’t have weed issues!

I got my first round of mums from Aldi!

My subscriptions and Eddy’s orders are going great!

Garden tasks include transplanting cold hardy seedlings (I didn’t have time to start any whoops!), cleaning up beds (I.e sunflower beds that are done and perennial areas!) and lots of cutting!

Hi Maria! Thanks so much! My tips would be try to keep them out of full sun where they will get torched in the heat, water them regularly and make sure to keep deadheading so they keep blooming for you!
